Subject: Loves econ and god  (Jan 13 2012, 08:06AM)

He really likes econ. Tests are hard as sh*t for most people- I didnt think they were too bad. The nice thing is 40% of your grade is group projects and online quizzes which are almost guaranteed A's if you go to class. He explains things if you go to office hours with questions. Understandable.

I dont know why people give Dr. Lee bad reviews. I guess its just because they are too lazy to actually learn. His class is not easy but he he very good at teaching the information. His power points are very effective and organized. Everything is straightforward and you know exactly what will be on the test. I have him now for Managerial econ and I have to say he is one of my favorite profs for that reason. I have so many other profs that are easy but you dont really learn the information. If you aren't interested in learning then don't take Lee, but if you want an efficient and organized prof then take Lee!

Subject: Not a cake class, you will have to earn your grade  (Dec 02 2008, 12:31AM)

People complain about his english, but compared to some other professors I've had, his isn't bad at all. The book is definitely a big help in this class so don't skimp on that. Attendance isn't mandatory, but because he gives group assignments that are worth 5 points each just about every class, you probably don't want to miss a class unless you really have to. I had three exams total in the class, each worth 100 points. My class had an average of 70 on the first and 61 on the second, so I wouldn't call them easy. You want to study for them. Also he likes class participation so be ready to be called on in class just about everyday. Another thing, there are some homework assignments and quizzes that help to add more total points to the overall grade. Overall, Lee passes on the information well, his delivery is just really dry....A's are possible with his built in curve.

Dr. Lee is one of the most insightful and helpful economics professors. I can see why students who do not like economics may find him difficult. He is quiet and may be hard to understand if you sit in the back of the room. Also, he moves somewhat quickly so that may be a drawback. But overall he really knows his stuff.

Dr. Lee is a very influencial teacher, for all those who are planning on studying in the fields of economics and/or finance in their future. His tests and lectures require effort, but his main goal is to see his students learn. He calls on random students throughout classes so it is very important that you read and do the work. For any students looking for an easy pass, look elsewhere, because dr. Lee encourages work ethic.

Geez, some of the comments on here had me so scared to take this guy. But honestly, the class was not bad at all. Dr. Lee has a really organized teaching style (he used powerpoint). The tests don't really have a whole lot of surprises. The problems come mostly from the group exercises we do. So read the book like you are supposed to and do the homework and you should be fine. He also has a really nice grading scale. Take this guy...he's better than a lot of the other econ profs.

Dr. Lee is very straightforward and teaches you. He is boring, but he makes you learn the information. If you can stick out his classes you will be better off in the long run. Yes, you need to study but he gives you the information on his tests. He is always more than willing to help. You just can't be afraid to approach him during study hours.

I wasn't quite sure about this professor at first, but he really is a good guy. His lectures are very organized. Also, he doesn't give any homework. Your grade is made up of tests and group assignments. The group assignments are a great grade booster because you can use your notes to complete them in class. He also curves your final grade by a lot. For example, in order to get a B+, all you need is something between an 84 and an 86 percent; anything higher is an A. Take Professor Lee if you can, he's a cool guy!

There are a lot of notes and you have to show up every class for the group exercises. There are many other grades other than tests which helps to bring up your grade. Also his grading scale helps. A lot of work but well organized. Show up to every class and pass.

Dr. Lee is very straight forward and organized. You learn a lot from him. Yes, his classes are boring because he lectures but he gives the information to you in a way that is easy to learn and remember. He is always more then willing to help you with a problem you just can't be afraid to go and talk to him during office hours. I recommend taking him for any econ classes.

Dr. Lee's lectures are well organized. The short essay/problem part of his tests are from the lecture material. The rest is multiple choice. The in-class group exercises can help your grade if you don't miss them. I recommend him for those who need this class.

Student: Anonymous (Management)
Class:Managerial Economics (--)
12 of 37 students found this review helpful.

His class will start out pretty good and you think he is the sweet man who really loves teaching. WRONG! He makes his class so difficult the only way students pass is by him handing out LOADS and LOADS of extra credit. Not only is it a hard class but he is a mean professor. He will call students out randomly to answer his questions, if you do not know the answer then you are stupid. He will dummy the question down to something as easy as 2+2 and then ask how do you not understand this? Also, he is teaching material that is well beyond what should be taught in a managerial econ course. Avoid if you can!

Ok so this guy effin sucks, bottom line. All he does is PowerPoint and examples that he always messes up. He says that everything is easy and gets an attitude when you don't understand something. He always says "how/what don't you understand?! its so easy!" ummm no sh*t it's easy to you mister you have a degree for it. He pretty much expects the class to dream about economics. The only grades in that class are exams, online quizzes, and class group work. Exams=20% each. Online quizzes=10% all together and the same for the class work. The tests are horrible and all of the class averages were in the 60's... its only 4 tests and they all cover about 4-6 chapters at a time. He refuses to curve any test because his grading scale has a natural curve in it, I'm pretty sure that's because he really does know how horrible he is. Anyway, avoid this man if at all possible, he's horrible to like the 123,4567,890 power!

Try to avoid Dr. Lee if at all possible because he's absolutely terrible! I was sick for an entire week in class, and I contacted him about it, and he said fine, and thinking that he would let me make up work...WRONG! His tests are very difficult and all he gives for notes are PowerPoint, and they're not even on blackboard. Granted he does give online quizzes as pretty much free points, but that's about it. Overall I would definitely recommend taking someone else.

Lee is a dumbass. He tries to make everyone in the class feel stupid when they get a question wrong by saying how simple and easy it is. Well we arent the ones teaching the class. He is the one who should feel stupid when the entire class has to keep telling him hes wrong on a problem. The good thing about him is his entertaining asian accent. He can't pronounce some words and it makes me laugh.

Dr. Lee was a substitute for another professor just at the beginning of the semester. He was a horrible teacher and as soon as our real profesor came back it was such a relief and I actually started learning stuff. He can't speak english that well and he has no clue how to teach and he embarasses you by MAKING you go up and do problems on the board...like HIGHSCHOOL!

[] He has problems on his tests that he didn't even know how to do. If he calls on you and you don't know the answer, he basically calls you an idiot in front of the class. He'll say it's so simple, how do you not know this. He'll say that no matter what type of question he asks you. Don't take Lee. He also just gives problems about the economic value of wontons.

First of all he reminds me of Jackie Chan, which makes it hard to concentrate, but besides that, he is extremely full of himself. The tests and quizzes are near impossible. He doesn't teach the info. on the test! I hate every second of it, and am seriously considering withdrawing from his class!

This dude moves way to fast and is under the assumption that everyone loves economics and reads econ books all summer instead of being normal. On many occasions he would give an example in class which would be totally wrong and the students would have to correct him. He maybe a smart guy, but his knowledge is no good to us because he can not teach it worth anything.
