Dr. Lemmon is good prof but sometime has a hard time conveying the message to you. he gives you lecture notes a week in advance and is very personable, he knows the material. I would definately take him.

Like others said, he speaks too fast, and says write this down at least 10 times a period and he doesnt give you time to write down what he says or repeat what he says, he just goes on talking and talking. It was a pretty hard class and you have to do a lot of studying to do well. Its hard to know exactly what he wants too..

This man speaks as if there were no tomorrow. He needs to slow down and take his time with his students. He may be an expert in the field , but where sure not!!!

Avoid this man, take patterson. Lemmon needs to take basic oral communication. He has no clue how to speak in front of people. He is boring and even if you go to every class you will not learn anything. He is a nice guy and if you go to talk to him in his office you will talk to him for atleast 30 mins since he talks on and on and on. He is a good guy but very hard and unfair.

Subject: Great Guy / Poor Teacher  (Jan 02 2011, 07:59AM)

Lemmon is a good guy with good intentions but lacks basic teaching skills. He expects students to instantly grasp abstract ideas with little instruction. He typically is not of much help if you visit him in his office either. Tests and quizzes include multiple choice, true / false, matching, fill-in-the-blank and short essays. The problem is that knowing what material to study for on the quizzes is next to impossible. He provides a study guide for exams but they are of little help. Beware: Lemmon is very protective of his ideas and his ego. He will hold it against anyone who challenges him or his information regardless of who is actually right. Students have been told to drop his class or take an "F" for disagreeing with his subjective stand-points. Overall he is a decent guy with good intentions but is incapable teaching to the majority of students.
