I highly recommend Dr. Mack! He is ALWAYS around to help and very willing. He's tough when it comes to quizzes and tests, but you know when you have them, so just be prepared. Ask for help and you'll be fine! Oh, and do your homework in your notebook--be sure to turn it in!

Although his bad jokes and strong desire to make chemistry "cool" are kind of annoying, he does an excellent and thurough job at explaining the material. He gives about ten pop quizzes throughout the course, so you pretty much have to go to class. When he lectures on material that isn't on the tests, he'll literally give you premission to take a nap while he lectures. He assigns problems from the book to do, but, at least for my class, the assignments were only graded for correctness. And as long as you take notes during class and don't want to do his homework assignments, don't bother buying the textbook. I highly recommend this prof (especially for a non-bio major such as myself).

Dr. Mack is really hard to hear because is voice is really deep and quiet but besides that he's a good prof. He's willing to answer questions, help students out, and he makes strange jokes that most people don't get but I think are funny and they break up the boring chemistry stuff. The lab notebooks are only worth 10 points each week so every little mistake can hurt, but overall I would say he's a good prof.

Dr. Mack is an amusing, intelligent, and effective professor of chemistry. Dynamics is not an easy class, but he does his best to make the material interesting and, at times, funny (believe it or not). He's a real class act, goes through every step of a problem, and is always avaliable for help. Suggestion: Do the homework problems! They will assist you tremendously on the weekly quizzes and periodic exams.

Dr. Mack is a class act. He is always there to help whenever you need it because he leaves his office door open and is always there. I would take Mack over Lacy any day because when you go to talk to Lacy he makes you feel incredibly stupid and Mack talks to you on your level. The tests are fair and he gives you as long as you need to take them. You are never rushed. These were difficult classes, but Dr. Mack made class interesting and less stressful. Take him instead of Lacy, trust me....

Dr. Mack is always there during the day to help whenever you need it, on classwork or labs (even if you don't take him). The quizzes and test problems are STRAIGHT from the examples in class and a few homework. This man does not throw curve balls. The definitions (multi choice) will get the better of you though... The classes are fun enough, especially at 8am... makes jokes or remarks a lot, breaks chalk frequently. Sounds like the swedish chef from the Muppets

I really liked Dr. Mack, he kind of reminded me of my grandfather. Tried really hard to make class interesting, but there's only so much you can do to endear your students to chem. One time I tried to count how many times he said "shit" "chicken shit" and "dip shit." Some days, you can lose count. This was not the cake class I was expecting, you actually have to do all the same stuff as in a regular chem class. Weekly quizzes can kick your ass if you're not prepared. Redeem yourself by always doing your homework problems.

While he is a nice guy it's the material that kills you. 1) his voice is monotone and puts people to sleep 2)sometimes he doesn't go into enough detail. 3)the material he covers is horribly boring. (dr. lacy beat him there by not going over the history) It was just plain rough to endure. He's not hard but try to take it with someone that can make the subject matter at least tolerable.

Dr. Mack's cultural approach class is way too hard for a gen ed. I'm warning you, take someone else if you can. He treats this gen ed as though it is a major, and its hard as hell. You really have to bust your balls. Also, it couldn't be more boring and he always keeps you until the last freakin second. AVOID THIS GUY

Dr. Mach is a nice guy, and knows what he is talking about, the class isn't too difficult, BUT he doesn't curve any of his tests. It's pretty bad when the average grade in the class is a 46%, and there is no curve. Everyone told me DO NOT take Lacy, take Mach instead, but I would recommend taking Lacy or another teacher if you want a better grade.
