Take Dr. Morin if you can!! She's so nice! Her tests are extremely easy. She gives in class assignments that you work on in a group, usually on Mondays, and she drops the lowest score on those at the end of the semester. They're each worth 10 points. If you get a 86 or higher on your exams then she automatically adds three bonus points to your grade! She puts her powerpoints on D2L so you can just print them out before class. You do a virtual child, and that's really fun. Overall her course is really enjoyable! TAKE IT!!!

Dr. Morin is one of the nicest ladies you'll ever meet. She is always around to answer questions, and even if she's not your advisor, she'll help her entire class with any problems they might have, be it personal or school related. Her class is very straight forward but never boring; she has plenty of videos to break up the powerpoint and interjects with plenty of funny yet educational stories about children she has worked with. There are five exams in this class, each on only three chapters. There are plenty of ways to earn points and keep your grade up. She doesn't take attendance and is very flexible if you miss a class. The majority of her students go out of their way to have her as their prof in disability studies and exceptional child psych. You won't regret taking her.

Dr.Morin is my favorite professor and one of the nicest one I have ever had. I have had her for two classes and they are both my favorites. Her class is super easy and every grade is worth the same amount of points! The work is interesting and you always get to discuss in groups! TAKE HER!

Dr. Morin is a fantastic teacher! She uses all the different types of learning in her teaching of her class (she uses visuals, in-class work, and of course lectures). She gives you in-class assignments which are really easy and help boost your grade. All of the notes are online. Her exams are super easy if you do the learning objectives she gives you to go along with the reading. Even if you just go to class you should get a good grade on her exams. She does one project and virtual child which are a lot of fun. Overall her sense of humor and laid back attitude really make you want to go to her class, I highly recommend her!

Dr. Morin is literally one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. She is always in a good mood, and she is sure to say hello to most of her students. She learns everyone's names so she can make class a more personal experience, and she makes class enjoyable for her students by never criticizing their answers. She does a lot of in-class activities that really help you learn the material for the tests (which, if you study, should be cake). She always offers bonus questions, and she uses tons of hilarious examples from experiences she has had herself with children. No matter what class she is teaching, I would definitely recommend taking Dr. Morin, I feel lucky to have been able to have her as a professor.

Dr. Morin is one of the most amazing professors I have had a Shippensburg. She also is one of few that treats you like an adult, rather than like a child. A couple have complained on here about her "lack of teaching" (mainly "3" people with 2 posts being the same?)but they must not be self-motivators then. You learn plenty from her class if you can do things on your own and not have them spoon fed to you, which must be the case if you claim to not learn anything. She is full of applicable examples and yeah you may do group work in class, but that makes for an easy grade and the work itself is easy! I would much rather do group work like that in class rather than have her assign it to everyone individually as homework. She's also my advisor and is willing to help with anything, be it school related or not. She is a wonderful person and I recommend her to everyone that talks to me about psychology classes, and so far, no one has been disappointed with that recommendation.

I would say that Dr. Morin is the best professor on campus. She genuinely cares about her students. She isn't boring. She doesn't just stand and lecture all of class. Most of classes we would do group work and have a lot of interaction with our peers. You had a few tests, some in class assignments, and a short paper to write. The class was great! AMAZING DR. MORIN!!!!

It amazes me how much, even a year later, that I learned and retained from this class. Dr. Morin was extremely knowledgable about her subject area and was always ready to answer the off the wall kind of questions that would come up in class. She also has a lot of first hand experiences to share. It wasn't the easiest class ever, but it wasn't hard, and it was well worth it. :)

Dr. Morin is a superb prof. and has a good quality of sharing class material that blended some humor into it (Definitely not a boring class)! I also loved the format of having to identify disorders by viewing case studies. We had to do one paper on a child who has experienced a particular disorder, a presentation that could be done with a group or alone on a chosen disorder, and a few exams. Overall this class was an excellent experience, and I learned a great deal that will carry over into my career in counseling. Thanks for a wonderful experience Dr. M.!!!!

I had her last semester for Exceptional Child Psych. He first test really kicked my ass, so I decided to pay more attention and I ended up not doing so poorly. The projects she assigns are very helpful for us as students. Also because she has experience around the area with what she teaches, she brings great insight to her class. If you can take her, DO IT!

This was probably my favorite prof and class in my almost three years here at Ship! Dr. Morin makes everything clear and concise. Although some of the notes are very long, they are not hard to understand. If you don't understand them, she will go out of her way to help you. She is very willing to assist students in any way she can, and her class was structured in a great way for people to learn and retain the information. I'd take her again in an instant!

Dr. Morin is the best! shes just a genuinely nice person! She takes the time and learns everyone's name -- I know thats one simple factor, but that just shows that she truly cares about her students! The best part is, is that she gives u a chance to better your grade if u arent good at takin just exams! There are 4 exams, 2 papers, PLENTY of in-class participation, as well as in-class assignments! Take this prof if you have the chance!

This prof. is by far one of the best at Shippensburg. She cares about her students and is always willing to help. She loves her job and it shows through her teaching. Her class consists of 3 tests, an optional final, one short paper about a book that she selects (but you can pick any topic you want to write about, and the book is interesting), and in-classes that you do in groups. I learned so much from this class and would advise you to take her for any psych classes possible.

Dr. Morin is most definitely the best proff i've had at Shippensburg thus far.  Dr Morin should be called Dr. MORON! She is one of the laziest professors I have EVER had. She doesn't teach the majority of the semester, leaving the students to give presentations on the material we are tested on. Don't waste your money on her, you'll be teaching yourself the entire book! She sucks.

Dr. Morin should be called DR. MORON. She is seriously the laziest teacher in the entire psych department. Take her class if you enjoy group work EVERY DAMN DAY, and a teacher who makes the class teach the material. She has taught maybe 4 days out of the entire semester and even then she just read off the powerpoints. She's a waste of tuition. Don't bother taking her. Not effective at all. If you like to teach yourself, take an online class so you don't have to bother attending, you'll get the same effect!

Dr. Morin picks favorites in the class. If you are not one of her favorites then your grade will suffer. She has no guidelines for tests and randomly takes off points(if she doesnt like you). There are alot of in class assignments, so if you miss class you are out of luck. For the last 2/3's of the semester students taught class each period while she slept in the back and randomly took off points on their presentations. I did not learn a single thing from her. DONT TAKE!

I'm taking her over the summer right now, and if you don't enjoy group work you will be a very unhappy camper in her class. Her requirements are excessive to say the least. She requires a 45 minute presentation as well as participation in a rally (for which YOU have to provide transportation) as well as homework assignments where you summarize her notes that you have to download from blackboard. She doesn't do a very good job giving directions and there is alot of inferences to be made by you as to what you are supposed to do. You just hope you get it right. She's a nice lady and she grades pretty decently, but I'd never take her again. The 3 hr classes feel like they last 30 yrs.

If it weren't for one run-in with this professor (which will probably reveal who I am to her) she would get a very high rating from me. She went over the basics of her field with outstanding detail and examples. She answered all questions well and gave tests that would have been very easy if I had read the book. She even gives you a synopsis of what will be on the test. However I had one problem of unfairness with her. One day one of our projects were due and she told us to hold onto them. She dismisses class without collecting them and then after I, and 8 other people, leave she says "Oh, hand in your papers". When I asked her about handing in my paper the next class she wouldn't tell me anything except "I don't accept late papers". Therefore I got a 0 on a paper that wasn't my fault since she didn't collect them at the beginning of class like it says she will in her syllabus. Other than that one incident she was very good, so just don't leave without reminding her to collect the papers and you'll be fine.
