I love this professor: he will work you very very hard but he has a true genuine interest in his students and he will help you and even go out of his way to help you. He is very understanding to kids with disabilities and when they can test and what they are entitled to. He is not just a professor but a friend. I love working with him in productions and I feel like I will have a gateway relationship with him for a lifetime.

He is out of his mind and wild! He is a hell of a professor and will try anything new. The Interdisciplinary course is kind of a movie history/art appreciation type of class. He switches topics a lot but they all are tied in some way. You have to buy two books that you have a lot of little quizzes on and you watch a few movies in class, it's an unpredictable but fun class.

Effective teaching skills that actually keep you awake during the lectures, which there are very few of I might add. 4 exams, all taken STRAIGHT from the book, so don't be stupid and not study. Look over the chapters for about an hour or two and you'll do fine. You watch plays that are entertaining and he lets the class get up and act as well. I actually wish I could take this class over in replacement for another class. He's a smart professor that knows his sh*t. The only ppl who do not do well in this class are usually freshmen.

He is an awesome teacher. You rarely ever get lectured for the full class period and he makes the class interesting and fun. You was plays in class and they are actually good. His exams come right from the book and as long as you study you are good. I definitely recommend him.

Professor Peet was a lot of fun. He has a lot of enthusiasm and tries to help you understand and critique the material. A major portion of the grade is pass/fail work: ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TURN IT IN. He takes attendence for his class, but not the group sessions. However, I would strongly encourage to go to these, because he uses a lot of the material on his tests. All in all, the class was fun and he kept it interesting. I'd take him again.

Paris Peet is great. He is very excited about his subject which makes class fun. You have 3 exams, a design project, a group performance, and a performance critique. The only reason I ended up with a b is because I forgot to study a handout from class and like 30 questions on the final was about that handout. He is great and everything else is easy as long as you prepare and put some time into it.

Ok so most people on here never give you a full eval on what to expect from teachers but this is my second semester with Peet and I absolutely love his class. I am repeating the class only bc I went to like 3 classes last semester just to take the tests and do the projects and I got a D. But now I'm going to all, and his classes are very easy... just take some notes from the chapters he puts in the syllabus and study them for the tests which are all multiple choice!!! So easy plus just skim over the two plays you read to learn about the characters. The two projects are easy... the midterm project is a simple group powerpoint and the final is now doing a live play production in front of the cub which is actually really fun and lets you express yourself. He is a great teacher and is around when you need him and very easy to talk to. I definitely recommend him as a must!

Prof. Peet is such a fun teacher... I liked the subject of the course so I did well. Honestly I never went to class and it never really mattered I did great. But when I was in class he made everything interesting. The tests are fairly easy... you have to at least skim through your chapters and the final project is sooo easy... take him if you can

I had Paris for Acting 1 and 2 and Stage Combat and loved all 3 classes. He is extremely passionate about his work and loves to make his classes excited about it as well. I was not an actor, at all, before I took his classes, but love to get up and perform now because of him. These classes also help you to be more open and willing to participate. Our classes became so close by the end of the year because of the class. WORTH EVERY SECOND!

Prof. Peet is seriously the greatest guy. His class was easy, fun, and you get tons of extra credit just for showing up to class. If you need a gen-ed, take one of his classes, you'll love it.

Dr. Peet's class was pretty easy. There's 100 points total. 20 points each for 3 exams, 20 points for a pantomime which is easy as sh*t, 15 points for an essay also easy, and 5 points for Theatre ettiqute which basically means not talking and turning off your cell phone. And he gives 5 extra credit points for perfect attendence and 1 point each for attendance at up to 3 plays. definitely earn the extra credit points because they will help in the end. I had an F at the midterm which at that point we had only had one exam so you can see how much the rest of the assignments will help. And he is always willing to answer questions. Good luck.

Peet was great. He is so nice and is willing to work with his students and do whatever they need. His projects are sometimes time consuming and as much as i hated doing them, they were fun to perform and got really good grades on them. His tests arent the easiest and you def. need to study to get a decent grade on them but just take it pass/fail and ull be great!!

Voice and Diction with Paris is the best class I have ever had at Shippensburg. Anybody who is in speech or communications would be stupid not to take this class. The class overall was very easy and we learned a lot. The tests were a little tricky and pulled my grade down but everything else was easy.

This theatre class was not only fun but also informative. you may be thinking that you'll be able to walk in and receive an A which is far from the truth. there is work involved however if you keep an open mind, it is not challenging. the whole class is graded out of 100 points. you have three 5 point quizzes (easy as long as you review the info), two tests worth 15 points each (a midterm and a final), three performances all worth 10 points and the final project in which you write your own play from start to finish and perform it. professor peet is not only engaging but he is also more than willing to help in any way he can. i highly recommend his class to anyone willing to take this amazing class.

Paris Peet is the best prof that I have had in my 3 years here at Ship! He makes the class fun. Tests weren't that hard and we had to write our own play, but that was also fun. He is willing to help you out if you need it. DEFINATELY TAKE PARIS PEET!

Good teacher, not at all boring. Read a play, take a few tests and do a group play. Average work for a gen. ed, but don't take him if you don't like to be in front of a group...there are a lot of in class acting activities. It's a nice class to break up a heavy schedule. I'd take him for anything I could.

Paris Peet is one the greatest profs at SHIP! He is very down to earth and is great to talk to outside of the classroom. The class itself was pretty easy too. We did have to write our own play, but it was a lot of fun. DEFINATELY take Paris Peet at least once in your college career!

Very very very nice professor. But, his class is SO boring. You catch yourself looking at the clock every few minutes. His tests are VERY hard and you have to study way too much for a gen-ed and read the book multiple times. His lectures and videos are awfully boring and there is nothing interesting about this class.

paris peet is an alright guy...i guess. if you like stuck up bitches. seems a little too high and mighty at times. my main gripe is that he asks too f*cking much of his students for the final project in intro to theatre. a four page paper that is only PART of a production book worth 15 points is ridiculous. take him if you want to do nothing for a whole semester and then have to do a group play involving ridiculous amounts of work for a project thats barely worth anything.

I'm not a theater person, so I was destined to hate my theater class anyway. He was alright. I really liked him as a person, cause he really is a pretty cool guy (putting aside the fact that the word "MOREOVER" makes up about a third of his vocabulary). His tests were tricky sometimes, so just make sure you really do the readings. The final project is why I'm giving him a neutral instead of a positive. We were given a choice of four options: either one of three class presentations, or a paper. The paper is ridiculously difficult though, so nearly everyone did a scene reading as their presentation. And as I said, I'm not a theater person. So being forced to act out a scene in front of the class was... well, Hell. I would highly recommend him if you're into theater; and I was even recommend him if you aren't, but just get ready for that final project, because it can sneak up on you.

First off hes definitely a nice guy, no complaints about his personality but the class was a little tough for a gen ed. I studied pretty hard for all of his tests, went to all but 2 classes and still struggled on his tests. He takes some of the most random information in the chapters to turn into questions. Pretty much things you would read and not think twice about. It makes the tests pretty difficult when there are about 3 chapters per test 25 pages each. Its hard to remember every word, which you pretty much need to, to do well. He gives you pretty good notes but he doesnt cover nearly half of whats on the test. The only thing that may save you is the videos he shows, those questions are fairly easy. Overall not too bad, but I think a lot of the reviews that say hes really easy are an understatement. Definitely need to do work to do well.

This class can def be frustrating espically if youre shy or dont have background of theatre. I am so thankful that I had a theatre class in high school or I think I would of failed his class. His tests are almost impossible, but his final project can be fun if you just dont care about acting in front of the whole class. My group did pretty well and def helped our grades out, so just have fun with it, and try to study hard for his tests.

I read all the comments and thus I took Peet. That was a mistake. There was nothing fun about this class. It was so boring and hard tests. He is such a nice guy and I really like him, but his class sucks. We never did any fun work and the movies that he plays for us are so horrible I found myself pulling my hair out. AHHHHHH!!!!! I hate the movies!!!
