This man is very hard. If you dont remember ever little detail of every story or poem you read you are in trouble. He would ask the smallest detail of something you dont even cover in class or on a review sheet. ALso, dont answer his questions in class. He will put you down and all of your ideas and make you want to cry like a baby. DONT take him if you can help it.

Good luck if you are stuck with this guy. Read the stories he gives you and remember all the characters, locations, and all the other little things that are in the stories because he will ask something like the color of a minor character's shirt on the test. Also, don't bother raising your hand to analyze any of the stories. This guy will put down everything you say. Sure it is your own opinion, but if it doesn't match his opinion, he will make you look like an idiot in front of the class. What an arrogant jerk!

There are days when you can love him and days when you can dislike him. He is very pristine when it comes to writing, but therein lies a story behind that: He spent a year in England, and took a lot of pointers from them. The work for the course is 25 pages total, no tests, and 3 books which he talks about on certain days. In the class I was in, he changed the rule about writing on anything the student wanted to writing about a certain theme (ex: 1st paper was on nature, 2nd on discovery, and the 3rd on religion). He can be quite intimidating sometimes, but if you show him your stuff, he might respect you. On my second paper, he was intimidating (but I deserved the grade because it wasn't my best work). Some students will like him and others will hate him. It all depends on your outlook. He will babble on for an hour and 15 minutes on something, mainly something close to his heart. Since there was no final, he showed a short film on the final day. I had some rocky times in his class, but overall I liked it. It was a lot of work, but in the end, I impressed myself.
