She is quite possibly my favorite teacher I have eve encountered at Shippnsburg. She is SO much fun, and really loves to have a creative student in her class. I really grew and learned a lot. Now if only she could teach all of my classes I would never want to graduate. haha :)

Prof. Ruby is such a cool professor. She is very relaxed, and very much an artist. She's passionate about what she teaches and ever so sweet. If you are creative, come to class, follow directions, and take some initiative... you can't go wrong with Prof Ruby.

Overal Ruby is a good Prof. A recognized artist herself she is interested in the students and recognizes individual creativity. At times she is a bit scatterbrained and that can be frustrating, but she really does know what she is talking about.

Very nice lady. Very strong and independant, upbeat, and unique. You can talk to her about anything, and though she assigns work, she appreciates creativity, unlike Campbell. I'd recommend her for any art course.

She is a nice and fun person at times I agree, but she is just so insanely frustrating at times and yeah definitely scatter brained. She also has really unrealistic views about when and how we get things done. We have lots of other classes yet she assigns so much work. Her class just makes me frustrated and angry a lot of the time.

She's big on motivational speeches. In fact, I think 75% of class time all semester was devoted to motivational speeches. Which kind of help some days. Other days it made me wish for something like a business major. She's very energetic. Definitely play up any eccentric part of yourself and your secret love for all things Asian around her. DO NOT offer her anything with wheat in it. Her work essentially equaled out to be "busy work" for me, only challenging my time and not my intellect or passions. If a personal problem comes up, talk to her, as she's very understanding and may let some grades slide in your favor. Overall, she's a good person with a strange disposition at times, and easy but a bit frustrating to take a class with.

Hey everyone! Dr. Ruby is a hoot but a bit scatter brained. Yes, she's a great person and you can tell her anything...she definitely made me feel welcome as a newer art major. The only problems I had with the class was that the structure of it didn't seem to help us out. Ok...lemme explain. She spent a lot of time talking or using up our crucial time in class to critique (granted I know that is part of art) but we were always left with loads of projects due next class and we didn't really know what the heck we were doing. We just stumbled around in the dark and then waited to see what she said. Luckly she would let us redo pieces that fell short of her standard if we wanted to. (Redos saved me!) Again I enjoyed the class and came out on top...but just a few words of advice: -redos are golden -make sure if you need to speak with her you make an appt right away because you may never catch her otherwise -don't stress to much...it's art and you'll do alright. (But work is definitely required) :D
