She is an amazing professor. She gives a journal to write in, but as long as you keep up with the assignments it is really easy. The best advice I can give to do well on her papers is to have her look over them before the final due date. She is known for not giving A's but if you do this you will know exactly what she wants to be able to earn an A in her class. Make sure you study for the spelling quizzes and you will do fine on them, they are usually pretty easy. Make sure you participate and you will have no problem getting an A in this class.

She's a pretty easy going professor. You have to write a lot of papers in her class, but they're not too hard and she isn't that rough on her grading. Sometimes she will edit your paper when you turn it in and then give it back if you really need work on it. She's a very nice woman and the class is pretty fun. Just write the papers and go to class and you'll do fine.

She is a little old but she is really easy. All you do in this class is write papers but she gives you so much time to do it. She gives you time in class to work on the paper and she helps you and gives you topics if you are having trouble. She is very funny and thinks any little thing is interesting. She gets really excited when she finds out about new things. Be prepared to type papers and Bull Shi*ed all my papers and still got a B. JUST DO YOUR WORK!

She assigns a journal that you have to write in every day with at least one page of writing. That may sound hard, but it's really not that hard. For most of those days I just thought of a particular subject (Abortion, Gay Marriage, etc.) and wrote my opinion on it. She has no tests. She assigns about four low-level papers and then a Research Paper that you also have to do a presentation on. Overall, she was easy. It was a good way to start off my English major and it could be easy for you too.

Dr. Stewart is undeniably sweet and her class is pretty interesting. I think she is a great professor but the random quotes on the final and midterm are what killed my grade. Nevertheless, I'd recommend taking Dr. Stewart any day.

Dr. Stewart is a very sweet woman. She does have an attendance policy, but it's worth it to go. Her class was pretty easy, a lot of writing, but thats the point in the class. She emphasizes plagerism a lot, so don't do it. Anything you take from anywhere, cite it! She is a very kind woman, but doesn't play around. She's expects a lot from you, but is always cheerful and she is just trying to help. She wants you to succeed. Take her if you want to get your moneys worth on education.

Dr. Stewart is friendly, outgoing, entertaining, and an overall great prof. There were 3 tests, one research paper (7-10 pages) that she gives plenty of time to work on and lots of help with, and one class presentation that was more like an informal group discussion. Every day the class is set up in a circle so it's easy for everyone to participate, since that is counted in your grade.

I didn't know what to expect with Professor Stewart but she is just amazing. She makes you smile and I love her accent because I have one too. Take Stewart if you want to have a fun class where you leave smiling.

Dr. Stewart is such a sweetheart. I was dreading taking a lit course so much, but she made the class actually enjoyable. She expects a bit out of you (many short stories, journal entry on each, etc) but she's a wonderful professor and a great woman. One of my favorite profs so far. I still go back to visit her!

I honestly don't know what to say. I left my high school looking for a challenge, needless to say... Dr. Stewart doesn't give you that. She wonders why people don't apply themselves. I will be the first for saying this on a Negative comment her class is TOO EASY. Now alone this wouldn't be too bad. She's a really tough grader. 2 small mistakes on a annotated Bibliography got me a 65%. Of course the math for that made up that 65% actually came out to a 50% but yea that just shows you how clever she is apparently in her world 50=65. But I didnt mention it to her, she does pick favorites. She also has a strong southern accent that is hard to understand at times. Basically if I had a do-over... I'd pick Mao.

Dr. Stewart is one of the easiest English profs I've had at Ship. I like the books we had to read, but the list is predictable and old fashioned. She teaches right out of sparknotes, so get yourself copies. She pretends she's your mom and speaks to students like they are her children. If you want to do well just smile alot and pretend you care. That's all that seems to matter. I doubt she even reads the essays. Mine never had any comments, just a grade and "great job!" Take her class if you want the 13th grade.

Dr. Stewart is a wonderful woman and i had fun in this class. She picks novels that are mostly relevant to important novels of the 20th Century. We read The Grapes of Wrath, Beloved, The Sound and The Fury, and three other novels i didn't really care for. This was the Honors version of this class (therefore not everyone was an English major), so maybe she is more challenging in a regular class. I just didn't find i learned much from this class at all. You are required a 10 page paper on a topic of your choosing, and this is probably what i liked most about the class. I actually got to analyze something for once in that class by doing the paper. This woman will make you smile and is not to hard, yet there is a difference between difficulty and challenging. She just didn't do it for me. I'd recommend her if you want an easy class with a nice prof.
