Dr. Taylor is always available, willing to help and truly takes an interest in you and your education. If you really want to learn something I would take her for anything I could. I have her again in ProSem and am really excited.

Taylor's class was hard work. The quizzes/tests were pretty difficult but she made it fun and had really practical ideas for the classroom. She was so helpful and really encouraged us to use her ideas in the classroom. I loved her class. Take her but be prepared to actually DO work!

Dr. Taylor was fantastic! If you can't handle her workload, you shouldn't teach. Her classwork is challenging, but easily passed if you simply pay attention to her syllabus and directions and do the work. However, watch out for "Bonnie" during your read alounds! If you enjoy a professor that is humorous and GENUINELY cares about her students, take Dr. Taylor!

For the individual that said they would call her out more...leave your name next time so we can call you out. Dr. T was a great professor. It was tough to get an A in her class because you really had to earn it. With only 200pts in the class that does not leave much room for error. She tells it like it is and you better pay attention. I will turn to her for advice every time because she won't sugar coat anything and I like that about her. Too many students only want to hear about how well they are doing...BS...we will make mistakes and if no one tells use to straighten up we never will. Great class and great professor.

Taylor is wonderful. She puts you into a classroom to work with a child one on one. She teaches classroom managment by making you the teacher. She is very nice and above all hilarious!! Take her if you can!

how can you not love Dr. Taylor? She is ALWAYS available for her students- except on fridays after her last class, but ALWAYS makes time for you. She has tons of resources in her office (children's books, teacher books, charts, games, etc) that she will let you borrow anytime you want. She obviously and truly loves teaching, and it shows in her lectures. You cannot help but be inspired by her classes- that is if you truly want to be a good teacher! She does expect a decent amount from you, but only because she wants you to do well when you get into the real world of teaching. Her book shares are a little intimidating, but easily passed. I would take her over again in a heartbeat! You will definitely get a lot out of her class!

Dr. Taylor is the most stuck up professor and by far the worst educator I have EVER had. She constantly preaches about how you should know what your students "bring to the table" in order to be a good teacher. What a hypocrite! She never got to know anything about us, let alone our names. She moaned about how we were all going to do horrible the first few weeks but with her divine intervention we would all survive. Dr. Taylor thinks she is the queen of the world. I am an honors student, so this is not about her being a tough grader or giving too much work. Honestly, I enjoyed making the lesson plans and completing KSUR! But when you are a READING professor and can't even speak properly that's taking it too far. She is a loud and obnoxious teacher who could care less what you have to say. Be prepared to be put-down and intimated if you take Dr. Taylor.

In the beginning of the semester I thought I would die because she spent two days explaining her syllabus but seemed nice...well I was wrong...she constantly told our class to come see her I can help I will lend you my stuff "i dont bite" blah blah blah... too bad whenever I went to her she was eating or talking to her husband and would not answer my questions and would basically say "you did it wrong-the end." She literally said to me when I questioned her grade on something simply to find out how I could have done better that "the teacher has the final say and theres nothing you could do" with that bitchy attitude she gets sometimes. If you want attitude and a teacher who never learns your name and really is not there for you to help you become a teacher then go for it otherwise stay clear. I know other people had a good experience with her but for the majority of the time I was miserable in her class because I could never get a reason out of her for anything.

I have never had a worse prof in my life. She thinks she knows what she's talking about, but when you ask her a question she asks another student in class to answer. She is clueless. What a waste of my money. Her quiz's are EXTREMELY hard. She's like: study everything. I'd love to rip up her tenured contract and make her eat it!

Taylor is so full of herself. She hasn't been teaching for over 15years, yet she thinks she knows how to write a lesson plan! Basically, you have to kiss her butt in order for you to do have decent in her class. So get those lips ready for some big ass kissing!

Dr. Taylor is never there when you need her. She is unfair with grading and will not listen to your opinion. She is also too set in her ways, try to take someone else.

The first day the class seems very intense! There are a good amount of assignments for little points. She says she doesn't mind helping you but when you go to her office she doesn't really seem to care. She only looks at her email during her office hours. She shares a lot of good and interesting stories in her class that I will remember and use in my future. Also, tutoring was a great experience and I really enjoyed it but it sucks that you have to drive about 25 mins to get there. Overall I would suggest taking this course because it had good experiences, just be prepared to do a lot of work for a little grade. (She has a different grading system then others so be prepared for that).

So if you are one of those people who don't want to do work do not take Taylor. You will do a lot of work in her class, but you will learn a lot. You have about 5 quizzes, which are hard. Your final is an interview, which wasn't too hard. You have to make lesson plans and you go to King Street Elementary School and do lessons with one or two kids. It gives you a lot of experience. Make sure you do assignments her way! I think I would take her again, she is hard but I did learn a lot about teaching and got some field experience.

Dr Taylor's class was not that hard, but she often preaches about being professional, but is very often unorganized. Points are deducted for being unprepared, but she never had any of the right materials when she arrived to class. Sort of annoying.

Well, when I first went in there she scared me. She was all big and bad and made it sound like the class was going to be ridiculously hard to even get an A- in. Well she was all talk. Yes she is hilarious and does teach you a lot of good things, but she isnt as tough as she makes you think and rips on you allll the time about "losing your inhibitions" in her class all the while she doenst even know your name. And the participation stuff, you rate yourself at the end of the semester and she says that if she doesnt agree she will lower the grade, she def. gave you whatever you put down on your paper. I would take her again but def. would call her out a lot more.
