I have never met a lazier professor than Dr. Greenberg. Do not expect to receive any of the online assignment grades until the very end of the year. To do well on his quizzes, which are tough because no one knows where he gets his information from, complete all of the extra credit assignments and fill out his quiz study guides and you can easily manage to get a B+ or even an A- if you talk to him face to face in his office and be upfront with him on where he gets his information from for the quizzes, mid-term, and final. There is also a 10 page research paper due the week before finals. Overall, I highly recommend this class to take, but please read this comment to know what you are getting yourself into. And, definitely bring other material to work on during class because his lectures are pointless, and you can print out the power point notes right after he lectures on them. I recommend filling out his quiz study guides and study for other classes because sadly, he takes attendance everyday.

Dr. Greenberg is super nice. You will get an A if you do all the little quizzes online and just read. He is very easy, and if you ask for extensions on tests and whatnot, you will more likely get them with a valid excuse. The only major thing you do is this paper and it again, is easy. He brings in food for his early classes and genuinely wants you to do well. I would def. suggest taking him!

Greenberg loves to tell jokes and laugh at himself which is good because at least someone is laughing at them. The class is not that difficult and he will get behind his plans and push off papers and quizzes. He is such a pushover when it comes to discussing grades or when to have an exam. As much as he jokes around, you will surprisingly learn a good amount of information in his classes.

Well this was not the easy class I was expecting. Greenberg changed his study guides from the past and no longer gives out the "actual test." With that said this class did require a lot of work and was extremely boring. But it was not impossible. Greenberg is a really nice guy and is pretty funny sometimes. He makes politics about as good as it's gonna get. I recommend this guy over some of the other professors in this department.

BEST PROF EVER!!! His class was so easy! and fun! We had extra credit movie days during class where he brought in popcorn and pizza! And his tests were so easy... he gives you a study guide which is the test! He was so cool and such a good Prof. I would fight to get in his class again!!!

Great, funny guy! However you really don't learn that much. But the class is really REALLY easy. He even gives out the whole test as the study guide for the exam! Boring classes but worth taking for the credit..

Dr. Greenberg has a great sense of humor! He even has at least one fun video during the semester. He gives out study guides for each test. The only way to fail the test is to NOT read the study guide. He is GREAT! I hate politics and he made it bearable and interesting. I'll admit there were still times when I was bored...but I wouldn't have taken the class with anyone else.

wow, what can i say?! This class was awesome!..Greenberg is not only funny, but an all around great guy. He always responds to emails when you have questions or need help. His class is an easy A with simple HW assign. here and there. He even gives out the whole test as the study guide for the exam! what else could you ask for?! There is one paper, but all the HW assign. help you complete it. DEFINITELY take greenberg if you can!!!!

He is a really great guy. However you really don't learn that much. But the class is really REALLY easy. Attendance is pretty much optional and so is the book for that matter. Study guides aka the test are handed out a week before the test. All you have to do is find someone who actually does them and copy from them. My advice-take him.

Honestly, I never went to class and I still got a B in the class. He does not take attendance and could care less whether you are there or not. He is a very sweet guy! He always tries to make jokes and makes class a very casual atmosphere. The best part is, he gives you the exact test as a study guide. So, all you have to do is remember the answers! Definitely take him!

This class was easy, he gives you the study guide a week before the test which is pretty much the test, one paper we had to write and he didn't grade hard at all. Never had to go to class, except when he had a speaker come in, and test day. If you missed the study guide he'd email it to you and didn't give a shit if you were in class or not. It's nice to see a professor that teaches intro level courses right. This man needs to give lessons to these other profs! Take this man!!!

When he first walked into class on the first day I felt intimidated. But then after 5 minutes I realized theres NO reason. He is an awesome professor. VERY VERY laid back and always pushes things back. We had 3 tests and he gave us study guides that had the same EXACT questions on them. Nothing on the test was new, it all came from the study guide. But the only catch is that you have to find the answers to the study guide. But it was really easy. There were two papers that you had to write but they were easy and he always gave you as much time as you needed for them. You dont even have to go to class. He doesnt take attendence. Just study the study guides and do the two papers and you will get an A.

I had Dr. Greenberg in a night class - we rarely stayed until 9:15, and he understood that not everyone is interested in political science. He's a funny guy and jokes around a lot - a week before the test he hands out a "study guide" (read: he gives you the mulitple choice test w/ answers) so its a breeze!!!

This man is horrible at teaching... he gets off the subject the entire class time and talks about his favorite sports team. When he gives his tests they are on nothing he covered in class/or in the book readings. His class is really hard and if it wasn't for all the extra credit he offered I wouldn't ever have passed his class along with a lot of others. So if you can, stay away from his classes.

The comments above represent a earlier time in Greenbergs career. This semester he did NOTHING like is said in those comments. There are quizzes (around 5-6) and a Mid-Term and Final which the mid-term he did NOT hand out a study guide which was the midterm (it was just a sheet of things to know) and he is very dry and boring. I'm not sure if the administration made him change his teaching style but if you want to learn and/or think you will get an A in this class by doing minimal work, try again...

Greenberg as a teacher is a nice guy and very easy to talk to... he likes to cancel class randomly and usually class was based on other topics but the class was fun. We watched movies and took notes but I didn't learn much about government at all. The good part is we take quizzes almost every week that are on blackboard and you get more than one chance to take them, so I got a 100 every time. His tests are ridiculously hard unless you study like 3 hours and he has study guides but they didn't help me much. If you were more prepared for it than I was definitely take him.

Dr. Greenberg tries to make the class fun but he doesn't teach very well. It's hard to learn anything from this guy. His quizzes and tests are hard so you have to put a lot of time into studying for them. He gives a ten page paper that takes a lot of time and work. If you're not interested in political science, the paper is a real drag. On the other hand, he offers a lot of extra credit opportunties that consist of watching a movie. He always brings food, like pizza and popcorn. He's a nice guy but it's hard to learn anything from him.

Well, he IS a nice guy. In fact he's probably one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Additionally, he doesn't try to indoctrinate you into his political orientation or punish you gradewise if you disagree with him like that whiney bitch Dagnes. However, he has some problems getting the material accross to students. Most of his material is very "survey-ish" and as long as you know the basic vocab words in the textbook, you can easily get an 'A.' And you can do the out-of-class assignments and tests sleepwalking and still get a 9/10. Therefore, if you want someone easy as I imagine most of you do, take him. But, don't expect to learn anymore than what can be found in the glossary of the text. He is however, VERY willing to help you and is almost always up his office if you need help, but I doubt you will.

Subject: Class is boring, but you can't hate a nice guy  (Oct 08 2004, 03:16PM)

This professor's class is incredibly boring, but you can't hate him because he's just such a genuinely nice guy. His teaching methods could use a little work--he doesn't move around or write stuff on the board to keep me awake. I fell asleep once. His corny jokes are horrible, but they aren't malicious. Overall, I don't think I've learned a lot yet, but I wouldn't say he's a bad prof. I'd say that he just needs a little work on his methods. Take him though if you are interested in political science.
