This class was not only my most interesting (non-major involved) class, but it was also my easiest class! Dr. Haase really orients the course to the class. We learned about things people are generally interested in. You work in groups the entire semester, but meeting outside class is not necessary. Class is pretty much like this: Define any 3 or 4 of 8 or so terms get them checked in class for points, do this for about a week and a half 2 weeks (about 2 or 3 sets of terms) compile a study guide with your group (so easy!) then take the exam on the concepts. That is all that is to it! Not presentations, no essays! Loads of extra credit opportunities! I missed about 5 classes due to being sick and still got a 98.6% for the semester! This is the easiest and most interesting class!!!!!

Dr Haase was a pretty awesome professor. He didn't take attendance and gave us plenty of in class group work time for our project. He does a lot of review so anything you might have forgotten from RDSBSI and RDSBSII he'll make sure you know. His tests aren't that bad, especially if you study, and he's very available. Overall, you should definitely take him for SOMETHING if you get the chance!

Dr. Haase is probably the best professor in the Psych department and, being a Psych major, I've had a lot of experience with all of the other professors. He is very intelligent and demonstrates a high level of respect and dedication to his students. He seems like someone who is very patient and always willing to help. It's really nice to know that your professor is there to help you out when you need it, and I think he'd be very happy to do so. He honestly cares that we understand all of the concepts that he covers, and he doesn't assign unnecessary work just to waste time. Also, the one thing that I really admire most about him is that he TEACHES his class. Unlike so many other professors, who rely so heavily on the textbook and the powerpoints, essentially re-reading the material word for word to their students, Dr. Haase briefly reviews the powerpoints and then creates real world examples to help us apply the information. To be honest, when I first started Experimental Psych, I was really freaked out about the idea of conducting research. I had Dr. Hale the previous semester, and he made it seem like research was one of the most difficult things in the world. However, Dr. Haase is allowing us to conduct a research experiment this semester, and he is kindly walking us through the process step by step. I'm not afraid of doing research anymore; actually, I've discovered that I really enjoy it. Also, I must admit to a small crush on this professor. His intellect and kindness are highly appealing personality traits. He's a good catch. And an incredible professor...

It's definitely worth taking Dr. Haase. Of course some of the material he teaches is dry, but someone needs to teach it! He makes it interesting and is understanding and supportive of your learning.

Dr. Haase is by far the most approachable, intelligent, available and honest person I have run into so far in the psych department. Although I have only had him for graduate courses (I didn't go here as an undergrad), he has been phenomenal! He is always available to meet and offer advice. Also, he doesn't sugar coat stuff. I always admire a professor that can be honest with his students. Dr. H is also a great stats guy (especially if you need him on a Thesis committee). I would highly recommend him for any class, as I have had many with him and have learned a great deal from each of them. He is able to answer questions and often offers his own materials (e.g., books, articles) as supplemental materials. Taking a class with Dr. H is enjoyable, and definitely worth your time. Do NOT however think that you can always slide by without doing the work or doing very little at that. He works hard and so should you...don't waste his time because he won't waste yours!

Dr. Haase is the best - yes, he gets to teach the really dry subjects but he's so damn patient with those of us who have to be there but don't want to be. I don't know how he stands us sometimes!!! Take him, pay attention and do the work. He really does care about his students. What more could anyone ask for.

If you ever have to take a psychology class, take dr. hasse. He is an awsome guy. He explains what he wants and how to do things better than most professors. He is very understanding too. If you had a problem he was willig to work with you to try to get a time that is convenient for both of you. He is ingelligent and doesnt talk down to you like some professors here. He is funny at times but overall a very good choice as a professors.

I'm taking his class right now - he's very helpful and very patient. Doesn't make you feel stupid and really cares about his students. You have to pay attention and study for the tests. He's not going to hand out A's just because he's nice. I'd take him again for another class.

The project was pretty straight forward and the tests weren't bad at all. He was always willing to stay around and talk to his students and really seemed to want you to understand the concepts. Should take R&D to make the project go smoothly. Good Prof. and good class. Take if available.

Dr. Haase gets stuck with the boring classes to teach, so you cant blame him if the subject matter is dry. After all, how would YOU spice up the APA format on writing a research report? He gives good group work projects and is always, always, ALWAYS available for anything you need. I bet the guy would bring me gas if I ran out on I-81, he is so helpful. Not taking him is a mistake, you will learn the subject matter without racking your brain over pointless assignments. The research process is demonstrated first by his lecture, then in the project you do yourself. Excellent psychology professor.... all around.

Dr. Haase was a great prof. He was always around to answer questions and his tests are fairly easy. He makes the subject matter interesting and easy to learn and he doesn't have an attendance policy. [] I defintely recommend taking him.

i really enjoy his class. his tests aren't really hard, mostly multiple choice, a couple definitions. reading the book is not super important, just for a few questions on the test, most of it comes from the notes. he gives lots of extra credit opportunities.

Dr. Hasse is an awesome prof, and he knows his stuff. The notes are straight forward and he will explain anything twice or more all you have to do is ask! Tests are from the notes, but it is helpful to at least skim through the book... I would and have already recommended him to my friends and anyone else looking for a good gen-ed psych class!

I really enjoyed Dr. Haase's class. I am taking him again now. This class covers some difficult material and can be confusing at times. However, Dr. Haase is willing to help. He will try to explain things in as many different ways as he can think of. You do problem-based learning exercises several times throughout the semester(in groups). I was less than optimistic, but when I found out it was more about philosophical ETC, rather than about hard wiring, I was actually somewhat excited. Take this guy!! He is an archive of information and a huge asset to this university. I am NOT kidding. Sometimes, I wonder why he sticks around.

Dr Haase is a very nice professor who goes out of his way to make sure you understand. For experimental psych he gives you a lot of class time to work on your experiment and paper. Plus he is always around to help.

DR. Hasse's psych class is very easy to understand and keep up with. You take down the notes and the tests are straight from that. He looks like he just got out of college, im not sure if he is or not. But hes a good teacher, he aint an d*ck about work or attendance either. I would recommend his class to anyone.

Dr. Haase is such a cute little geek!! This class was pretty boring, but it was really easy. You don't really have to read the book, he tells you what the essay on the test will be, there are TONS of extra credit opportunities, and he's always there to help you out. You've gotta study a little, but it's really fairly easy... what a gen ed class should be!!

Dr. Hasse's class is pretty boring, but he doesn't really take attendance and he puts the powerpoint on Blackboard, so you don't really need to go to class. The tests are pretty hard, our class average was usually in the 60's. You really need to read from the book to study for the tests cause that's where he gets a lot of the material from, but some stuff I have no idea where he gets it from. He also gives a lot of extra credit opportunities, but there is a maximum of 60 extra credit points that he will accept. He's fairly easy, except for the tests, but he lets you drop your lowest test grade, so I would say take him.

Dr. Haase's class is kind of dry, but it's not difficult. He offers many opportunities to "earn" extra credit. His tests and writing assignments are graded easily. He laughs at things he finds amusing, even if the class doesn't.
