Dr. McCann was amazing. She is a great gen ed prof and is able to take an incredibly difficult subject and make it simple. She talks to your class' level but is very intelligent and always knows the answers to questions. Not only is she effective, but she's hilarious and interesting. She's sarcastic occasionally which makes her WAYY fun. This isn't a class you'll fall asleep in.

Dr. McCann is a great prof for this course. She knows you dont want to take a big time chem class so she makes it VERY down to earth and easy. Each test has the EXACT quiz questions, she doesnt make you memorize really hard stuff and she is really laid back and fun. You actually learn real life and interesting material in this class, amazing.

Awesome professor period. If youre willing to try and ask for help, it is almost impossible to fail lab 1a. Tip, always do your pre-labs. Always check to make sure you have what is due before class.

Dr. McCann kicks butt at her job and really knows her stuff for lab. It would be advantageous to take her advice to read over the labs the night before the quiz so you can do well on them. There might be some difficult concepts that you did not understand in lecture, so it would be advisable to see her the day before and ask a lot of questions so you are prepared. She gives very difficult labs (i.e. coordination chemistry, qualitative analysis), but she goes out of her way to always help you, even during her office hours. She is an awesome, down-to-earth lady, so it would be incredibly impossible to make her angry (unless you do not write in your lab notebook--highly recommended if you do). If she would teach Lab IIA, I would definitely take her in a heartbeat, no questions asked. She is someone that will not waste your time in the lab.

Dr. McCann is a very intelligent and competent professor. She expects a lot out of the students, and does not curve. The grading is not too bad, however, since there are many grades other than exams. Also, she drops either all 4 quizes or one exam (not counting the final). I learned a good deal in this class. All in all a good experience.

I really wish I could have taken her for my actual Chemical Bonding course. I'm actually taking her for my Dynamics Lab next semester. She is always there when you need help and even if it is for another chemistry class. The only negative comment I can think of is that we had to hand in our lab notebooks by 9am on mondays. If you had questions on the write-up you needed to do the whole lab before the weekend or else you will receive 2 points off each day its late. Other than that she is a great professor!! I definitely recommend taking her if possible!

She is a very nice teacher but she is so nice looking that it is a little bit distracting. It was an easy class and she helps you a lot. Her exams are fair and she grades very kindly. But again, I am not saying that she should wear a burka but those miniskirts killed my concentration.

Dr. McCann gives great lectures, is ALWAYS available for 1-on-1, and gives a clear understanding of what is expected at the beginning of the semester. This class was very challenging however, and you should avoid taking it if you are unwilling/unable to put in the excessive time and office visits required to do well. So far my hardest class EVER.
