Let me start by suggesting why I hated this class and abhor this teacher, and then I'll discuss why I did so well in the class: Dr. Drallios plagarizes from the book, her notes are word for word from the book, and don't buy the book because all you need for the test is on the notes. She doesn't know a thing at all about the topics discussed in the book, or if she does she doesn't try at all to elaborate on them. So what it comes down to is that her class is this: You attend, she recites plagarized lines from the book, you don't ask questions, and if you do she can't answer them if the answer is not in the book, and then you take the test, which is a joke; so easy don't even bother studying. I absolutely hated her class because I wanted to learn more about art criticism, who knew, a student that actually wanted to learn. The problem is that she is so narrow brained that she would not teach me anything that wasn't in the book, so when I attempted to learn more than I was "supposed to learn" she shut me into the dark and pretty much accused me of asking too much of her. All I ask for is for the teacher of the class I payed money to take to know about the material, to teach it well, and to answer my questions if they are relative to the material...to which she failed on all levels of such. You won't learn anything from her class...here is why I liked her class: Her tests are a joke. I didn't study more than 10 minutes before the exam for any of them and I passed for the year with an A! If you attend class you get points for attendance, naturally, and if you're conscious enough to be aware, she gives you the answers to EVERY question on the exam in her lectures. So what it comes down to is this: Take her if you want to boost your GPA and learn nothing...but avoid her if you actually want to learn something about art and/or get your college debt's worth of challenge and enlightenment. [] I hope this review, above all the other ones, would be recognized for you as the most useful. Peace. Sparky

Professor Drallios is an absolute sweetheart, and her classes are very pleasant. Notes are printed out and given to students, which you look off of as you listen to her lecture, which is all done in Powerpoint. With these notes and the study guides she prints out, tests are cake. A good deal of the class is discussion, and anyone who labels this class as boring is someone who just sat there and never participated.

Drallios is a very sweet woman who genuinely cares for her students. Class can be boring, but she tries to make it interesting and is very excited by what she teaches. There are a few out of class essays, but she collects all homework on the day of the test, so you can wait until she goes over the painting in class and write it afterwards. If you want a fairly easy class with a nice professor, take her!

Prof Drallios is a very sweet lady that really has a passion for art. Her classes are interesting if you pay attention and participate. Tests are hard though - if you are looking for an A. She hands out lecture notes but relies on more info on tests. Learned a lot from her though - surprisingly.
