He is a good teacher, althought sometiems long winded and dry. You write four papers for him; of your choice. The first two he gives you the opportunity to resubmit and get the better grade. The final paper is a research paper, but its not as hard as it sounds. Not too much homework, maily its reading stories he assignes and you'll discus the next class. They are interesting, and worth the read.

He does a great job helping me understand whats wrong and what is right about my writing. I didn't realize it, but before i learned from him I wrote like a blindfolded monkey. Take him, he is nice and smart as hell.

he took over the class for another professor and never did a good job teaching the class. the first paper we wrote nobody in the class got above a 74%. If you ask me thats kinda shady. Anyway he tells you what he wants your papers to look like after you turn them in so how does that help anyone? if youre going to take him just make sure that you know exactly what he wants you to write or youre screwed!

Mejia had good intentions, they just didn't come out that often. He tries to keep students involved in conversation and not all lecture. Definitely better to take than some of the others.
