Subject: Do The Work.. Pass The Class  (Jan 14 2005, 01:05PM)

Dr. Sullivan's classes were easy (the "pop quizes" were straight out of the book.. hardly gave us any though). A lot of work is group work. Basically do the papers she wants you to do and you will pass the class with a B if not an A.

Dr. Sullivan was as nice as they come. She was always willing to help you understand the writing assignment and for Lit she was always willing to talk about your interpertation of the story/novel. She picks mostly intersting topics to write and read about. Don't get me wrong her college writing class is difficult; serioulsy, Aristotle and ect. is hard to write about. Honestly, do you know another prof that wants you to write a story about rehtoric or discourse? But all that training in a hard writing subject paid off because now all my papers for other classes are easy as pie. Plus it wasn't too difficult to get an A.

Dr. Sullivan is a fairly easy going teacher to have. In the beginning of the semester she gave out basic reading quizzes for the material we read, but that did not last. The tests are a bit hard, especially if you do not study, but should be alright as long as you pay attention, study, etc. The paper was a bit hard to write as she allowed for it to be on anything we have read although it had to be a 5-6 page analytical paper which is hard for those not used to it. Attendance is taken regularly and up to 2, or maybe 3 I forget, can be missed without penalty to your grade. Take her if you want to have a pretty easy time in the class with some interesting readings and discussions.

She is a great teacher to have. She taught so much about writing. She makes you read some books, but you discuss them the next day to help better understand them. Take her if you have the chance.

Dr Sullivan is a good teacher. She assigns readings for every class that aren't too demanding, and then the following class discusses them to make sure everyone understands them. It's an interesting class and I enjoyed it.

You all must be crazy! Dr. Sullivan is the worst professor I've ever had my entire four years at Shippensburg. Not only is she weird and kind of flighty, she's also very rude and is degrading to people at times. I never asked for her help, because if I did I would somehow feel insulted after talking to her (since she thinks she is sooo smart) This class is easy if you don't mind the endless "busy work" she gives you all the time. If you have a big load on your shoulders don't take her. Please spread the news to get rid of this woman !!

I could never really figure out if Dr. Sullivan. Most of the books we read looked at the dark side of human. Actually all of them. Classes were pretty easy, usually we would either have discussions or do group work. If you just read the book and go to class it is a really easy A because most of the kids in my class did not do the reading. There was one midterm and a final. We also had to write a paper which she gave us a chance to revise. Overall it is a fair class, and Dr. Sullivan does a good job of keeping it interesting.
