Professor Dension is a great teacher and never comes off as hard or unexpecting. She really knows a ton about history and basically has a handbook of fun facts stored in her head. When she goes over the material, she uses good examples, explains anything that may need more in depth explanation and is tolerant towards much behavior in the class. She knows what she is talking about but sometimes goes off topic and can really fly by her original point. You can do tons of extra credit and can really learn a lot from this class. The final isn't cumulative and the tests and so easy as long as you did at least 1-2 days of studying. Just know that she WANTS YOU to pass, you just need to put your side of the work in.

Although I am just adding to Professor Denison's many other positive comments... I thought I would say something anyway. Well the basics of this class are the three exams you have plus a final exam. All of which have true false, short answer, and essay. She tells you what to expect and if you even slightly pay attention you should be just fine. She's honestly a really cool prof who tries to get you thinking about current social issues and she allows all kinds of discussions and even encourages in some ways, getting off topic. You can get up to like 100 bonus points.. so if anyone ever complained about her class, I'd have to call them crazy. Take her for a pretty easy A and a good experience overall.

Dr. Denison is a great teacher because she honestly cares about her students and wants everyone to succeed. She is easy and funny in class! Talking about current events and other topics that make everyone laugh. If you get the chance to take this prof, do it because she is fun and exciting.

Dr. Denison is a wonderful woman who does her best to make class fun and enjoyable while also helping her students learn. She is a very easy grader and tries to give full credit on almost every assignment because she wants to see everyone succeed. Our class frequently broke from the textbook and lecture material in order to discuss relevant current events in a humorous manner, which made the learning experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Dr. Denison is highly recommended if you are looking for a fun and easy class that you will actually learn something in.

Dr. Denison is a good lady and her class is pretty damn easy. If you show up to class everyday you earn 200 points. She gives you 5 extra credit points for going to outside events. Its impossible to not get an A or B unless u suck at life.

Dr. Denison is so funny! She makes this class so much fun, even the not so interesting parts of sociology. She almost had me thinking about changing my major! Her exams are a little tough, you without a doubt must study to do well. She drops hints throughout her lectures of what will be on the exams. She gives 3 exams including the final, but if you have an A by the time the final comes you don't have to take it. There are 2 papers and 10 quizes, but they aren't that bad. She offers tons of extra credit opportunities, so it's hard not to do well in her class if you take advantage of the extra credit. I really enjoyed Dr. Denison's class and I highly recommend taking her if you get the chance.

This class was so much fun to go to... I only missed one class because I had a dr. appt. because the prof made it interesting. She will say anything that comes to her mind and her quizzes were extremely easy. I would def suggest taking the prof if you have to take intro to soc.

Dr. Denison is a really excellent professor. Her classes are all lecture, but she is ALWAYS upbeat when she speaks. She makes sociology sound exciting! She also wants you to succeed and gives you so many opportunities to get an A in that class. Her tests are hard, you need to study and read the text, but even if you don't do well you should still get an A or high B or B+ because of all the other grades she gives. I would definitely recommend her!

Dr. Denison is a personable professor that doesnt just treat you like a face in the crowd. Im not good sitting through lecture classes, but you arent really going to find a soc. class that isnt all lecture. Her tests are not that easy, I failed one and got a C on the other, but she gives you so many other opportunities through out the semester to get a good grade. Definitely would take her if you have the chance.

Dr. Denison is a great professor. She made her lectures very interesting and enjoyable. If you pay attention, she will tell you everything that is going to be on the tests. Her tests are kind of long but they are not that bad if you study. If I had the chance, I would take one of her classes again.

Prof Denison is a great prof. Most of her in class discussions involve sex in one way or another. She's energetic and full of life. Her class was very interesting and enjoyable. I really did learn a lot. She gives lots of extra credit chances. Her grading is out of 1000 points but you have the oportunity to earn 1300 points. Depending on how you want to do is how you will do in her class. Take her! She's awesome!

I highly recommend this teacher to anybody looking to take a sociology class. she is easy to get along with, she lets you have lengthy class discussion as long as it pertains to the subject. she offers so much extra credit that failing this class would take more work than passing it. she makes sure you have a grasp on your material before she moves on also. basically shes a nice lady who isnt looking to fail people...

If you don't mind actually reading for a class, Denison is a good professor to take. Her classes are bearable; she mostly just talks the entire time. I usually tuned her out while reading and outlining the chapters. It took me awhile, but it really helped. There are three tests, a final, and a paper. Her tests are mostly essay but she is a very easy grader. I wrote an essay once on a section of the book I didn't even read and I got full credit for it. She is also very nice and easy to talk to. She talks with her students, rather than at them, and she makes an effort to know everyone's name in the class. So, even though this was the course I did the most out-of-class work in this semester, it wasn't hard at all. She also offers many, many, many opportunities for extra credit if you don't feel like working so hard.
