Dr. Dan is AWESOME! He is ALWAYS willing to help students and wants his students to succeed. He is very approachable when you have a question. He makes organic chemistry very understandable. We are lucky to be able to have him as a teacher. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs to take organic chemistry. He makes the class fun and teaches you everyday applications of organic!

This was one of my favorite classes so far. The information we received was very interesting and good to know for everyday life. We had quizzes every Friday, which was good to keep up on the notes, and made the multiple-choice exams very easy. There was at least one article review, but it wasn't difficult. He was a very nice teacher!

I took o-chem 1 and am taking o-chem 2. He is a good teacher. He explains things very well, and if you ever need help with anything, he is more than happy to help you. Chem was a very difficult subject for me, but this prof makes things a lot clearer for me. You need to do the homework and study to do well on the tests. His notes are well organized. He may tell some corny jokes, but he's a pretty cool prof.

Dr. Dan is a good teacher. He makes class interesting and is always willing to answer questions. Every Friday he talks about a real life application of Organic Chemistry which is always interesting and a nice break. If you take notes, do the homework problems, memorize the tables he tells you to, you should do fine. His tests are hard, but not impossible. I definitely recommend him.

I dreaded taking this class...but for the first time in my life Chemistry was interesting. Dr. Predecki taught us about the kind of chem that applies to everyday life. We learned about how coca cola was made, different types of drugs, steroids, viagra, we talked about alcoholism, etc. In high school I nearly failed chem, but in this class I was excited to go every day. Take this class with Dr. P, you won't regret it at all, you may even have some fun!

Mr. Dr. Predecki is awesome! He really cares about his students and puts in a lot of effort to make a very difficult class fun and interesting. Every lecture he will relate organic chemistry to real life applications and usually do some sort of demonstration. The best part about him is there is absolutely no ambiguity on what you need to know for an exam, the problem is you need to know a lot of information and understand it. I was pulling a solid "A" until the tail end of class and then tanked my final to get a "B+". You cover like double the information in the last week as you do the rest of the semester it is crazy. This class is hard and you have to make notecards and study your reactions out the yin yang. Do not get behind and stay ahead as much as possible. He tests directly from his notes so write down everything he writes and you will pass.

Ok. Here it is, and it isn't pretty. Most of the class is failing! That's right, you heard me. Failing. On the first exam, the average was 60%. Maybe that doesn't sound too bad, but alot of the folks with 60% were people who normally scored in the 90s. The second exam? Well, the average was somewhere around 35%! 35%? How in the heck is that possible? Yeah, alright, he is giving a make up exam, but still. What kind of psychological damage is being done to those of us who work our butts off and don't get above a 50%? It is not good. Confidence is shot, to say the least. This professor stinks!

If you are bad at tests, or can see yourself having a bad day and not doing well, Dr. Dan's class isn't for you. Tests are worth 100, final is 150, and quizzes are worth 50. So basically if you have a bad day and you don't do so well on a test you're screwed. Allison Predecki is better as her quizzes count for 100 points. Oh and don't let the study guides he gives fool you. The tests are longer and harder than he makes you believe.

Well, first of all, let me say that I liked Dr. Predecki very much. He was funny and always tried to bring interesting tidbits of knowledge into the classroom. As far as the actual class itself, though, I found it to be rather frustrating. I did poorly on the first exam, which meant that no matter what I did, I could not score above a B+ in the class. I did O.K. on the next 2 exams, but not well enough. I am a straight A student, but found that my confidence was shattered in this class very early and I never got it back. The exams were harder than they should have been, and there was no curve (except for the final exam). Anyway, if you take one of Dr. Predecki's classes, be sure to be prepared for your GPA to drop significantly, as did mine. He is a very likeable dude, but as a teacher, perhaps he is still learning.

I thought I'd write a review just to get something about Dr. Daniel Predecki on the board. So far, I am rather disappointed with his class. After having Organic Chem I with his wife, Allison, and thoroughly enjoying it and, might I add, doing quite well, I am not enjoying this class nearly as much. It's not that I don't like him. No that's not it,(Although he is sort of a chemistry nerd). He's likeable enough, even funny (likes to talk about Viagra). But, I have tried to get assistance from him several times, and I just don't feel that he takes me seriously. In fact, I've noticed that he caters to the girls, and [other groups]. The first exam is tomorrow, so I'll keep you all posted after I get my grade. ---phantom
