Dr. Shane is an extremely nice guy. He was always willing to help you if you needed it, and was always available at his office hours to help you understand what was going on. He also would explain what we were doing the experiment very thoroughly, and would answer questions whenever they came up. He was a very caring guy, and his class was relatively easy. He was an awesome teacher, and I would definitely take him again if I could!

He actually cares so much about you, he will go over the information a million times until you understand it. However, in class, he may skip some parts that everyone doesn't know, just raise your hand, and he will be HAPPY to go over it. He is the most positive professor you will ever meet. If you want an easy chem class that you don't have to retake, then this is definitely the class and prof for you. A. Predecki is good for this class too.

Dr. Shane was teaching in his first year here at shippensburg when I took him. I took chem bonding with him, it was my second attempt because I took dr. lacy my first time round and well got a D. Dr. shane makes it sooo easy to understand and is very very willing to take time out of his day to help you if you need help. He's very easy to talk to and is just a great guy to be around. He made me question if I wanted to continue having switched my major from chemistry to english. however I could not handle the lab and lecture load plus all the other classes... and of course the fear of having to deal with dr. lacy again. He is amazing and what he does and used to teach high school so he knows how to "dumb" it down. however he does not dumb it down to the point of having a professor talk to you like you're stupid. He makes understanding the complex stuff as simple as adding simple math equations. he truly is an amazing professor! I highly suggest taking him :)

Dr Shane is a man who is always happy and smiling. He will make sure anyone who asks him about something they dont understand gets their problem sorted out before moving on. Dont be shy about asking questions. He also tells jokes so lame that they are hilarious. Do homework. Its easy points and the quizzes are very straightforward. Take Dr Shane. You wont regret it

Dr. Shane is one of the nicest, coolest chem profs here at Ship. He really knows his stuff, and he expects you to do well in his class. You can really do well on the quizzes and exams if you understand the gist of his lectures...it's also nice to do the homework because sometimes on an exam he will surprise you with something you might have not seen or remembered. He is always happy, and I think it is guaranteed you will never see a frown from this man. If you get the opportunity, make sure you take this man, by all means. He makes chemistry simple and fun!

This guy is ok, I mean, he tries, I guess. He will teach you, to the best of his ability, what you need to know. However, he was always at other schools doing some teaching stuff, and he went really slow at first so you thought "this is cake" and then he hits warp speed and packs in like 5 chapters a day for the final. I wasnt feelin him, but I guess he was ok, at best
