I had her my freshman year first semester, and I am a junior now. I still think about how good her class was and I am not a fan of sociology but seriously her class was easy. Yeah you had to do some work, but I have yet to experience a class where I haven't had to put some effort into it. Take her, you won't regret it!

This class is not very hard and with all the stories she tells you about her daughter and just life you are able to keep awake and listen to her lectures.. I paid for a book I never used unless I missed a class because she makes a notebook for you that you get at the bookstore. You answer the questions in this book when she goes over it in class EASY... id say the downfall is all the online assignments you have to do.. its about one a week but they take up a lot of time... and the site you do it on is always messing up. But overall why complain... this is the second time I took sociology and guys.. I have seen much worse.. just go to the class and take your notes.. and study for the test..

Dr. Rosenberg was interesting, and I enjoyed her class. She had a lot of lecture, but it was easy because she gives out the notes in the beginning of the semester. All you have to do is go to class and follow along in the notebook as she's speaking. She also had some interesting games which brought the material to life. As far as a basic Sociology class goes, I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Rosenberg is the nicest professor. She is very flexible and made the class interesting. She gave examples and put things in perspective. The tests weren't too hard and not on stupid details like some with other professors. Definitely a teacher I would recommend!

A lot of people don't seem to like Dr. Rosenberg, but I don't mind her. The class consisted of daily lectures with a game or two thrown into the semester and a few movies to supplement to course material. The book is largely useless as most of her material can't be found in the book, so I only used it for definitions. We had three tests and a few notebook checks for accuracy and completion. The tests are largely multiple choice and short answer. A lot of the material is recurring but it's logical, common sense information. She offers a few opportunities for extra credit points which can help your grade if you're borderline. She's fairly flexible as far as grading. Some of the lectures are kind of hard to follow but if you ask a question she'll try to clarify things so you can understand. Just stay awake and pay attention and you'll do fine.

Subject: Do NOT TAKE!!!  (Dec 20 2006, 08:29PM)

Do not take her. Her online exercises are totally pointless and she takes off points if you don't fill in blanks to her liking. However, this is not your fault when the websites do not work. Not only this but, she is never at her office during office hours. She makes available over 200 some questions to study for an exam...(exams are usually only 50 questions) she says you don't need to study them all, yet most of her questions are word for word from those 200 questions so you have to study them if you want to get a good grade. Not only are there 200 some questions but, you also have to do article readings which were very pointless too. I thought this class was way too involved, and should be an upper level class rather than a gen. ed. However, she is very understanding and tries her best to explain things the way she wants you to see them. Whatever you do... try your hardest not to take her, and if you have to... GOOD LUCK!

Talks in circles, ignores questions she doesn't know the answer to, has favorite students who she gives all of her attention to. But, whenever you are having problems with something (especially online work) she will always be there to sit with you and help you through it.

Well first of all, if u take Rosenberg u'll prolly fall asleep in class. All she does is talk about data, or she'll give an example and talk about it forever. She hardly talks about anything in the book and when she does, its more charts, so worthless. Plus her complete lack of knowledge of anything electronic gets irritating. At first it was kinda funny, my prof cant figure out how to work the TV...or computer...or DVD player, but then it became almost an everyday thing. If you want to learn anything from this class, read the book, and if u can, take another prof!

This prof needs to just leave Ship. She rambles on and on about NOTHING, so instead I read the book. But nothing on her tests are predictable to study for because she doesn't lecture for the tests AND the info isn't in the book. The only thing that brought my grade up was the papers we did but, now I hear she isn't requiring them now. so GOOD LUCK!

Professor Rosenberg was a very nice lady. However, her lectures are extremely hard to follow, and when she asks a question, its very hard to determine what exactly she is saying, so her tests are hard to take. You go into them thinking youre ready, but when you read the questions, you have NO idea what they are talking about. You have to write 2 papers which she grades the crap out of for grammar and spelling errors.

This was my second time taking it (first time with her husband) and it was supposed to be Cornelius. So when it was her instead, I thought she might be different from her husband, but it was exactly the same. She does not let you win an argument, no matter what the case. The whole class argued a question on one of her tests and she would not back down and admit defeat. She is an awful teacher. She came from a different school which probably kicked her out for being so bad. Whatever you do, do not take her!

Basically, her class was the peak of boredom. She was a nice enough lady, but not incredibly effective in teaching. She talks about a lot of data... sometimes for a whole class. We watched interesting videos, though, and when she actually talked about Sociology itself, it was interesting. Overall, she was boring, but nice, and the class was easy, but pointless. I guess you could take her if it's just a gen ed you want to get over with, but make sure you take some coffee with you to stay awake.

Shes a nice professor, but shes very disorganized! Her test aren't bad, but you should study her study guide and you will be fine. Presentations are simple. This is a good class, it's just that Dr. R is very unorganized

Pam's classes are sort of interesting but seem like a middle school class. In the begining of the semester, you are required to buy a notebook of all of her handouts at the bookstore and then every class you go over every worksheet and fill in the blanks. She doesn't seem like she knows all of her stuff easily. Lots of kids in my class challenged her lectures and her response was..."well...yea....i guess.." and then change the subject. If you get stuck with her, no big deal.... If you have the option of taking her, I might suggest a different proffessor.

Subject: EASY CLASSES, HARD TESTS  (Jan 18 2006, 12:30AM)

She is VERY unorganized and tends to make copies during class, and never seems to have the correct video for the lesson. On the other hand she is a sweet woman and is very understanding of conflicts. She allows you to switch classes if you have a conflict, and she grades notebooks which you can not turn in once and still receive credit for. Her classes are interesting, but her tests tend to be much more difficult. If you're into Sociology and really want to read the course materials, the class will be easy and semi-fun but this isn't for those that demand an organized prof.

Dr. R. loves her subject. I obviously don't. This makes it difficult to concentrate on her lectures. However, if you come to class, listen, take notes, and fill out your notebook, you're pretty much guaranteed a good grade. Not much additional work is necessary - That's what I liked about her. Otherwise, her lectures on gender related toys were somewhat awkward, and annoying.
