This class does require a lot of work. Youll have to do reflections for each class as well as each reading! With 4 projects (either a powerpoint or a paper, personally I think a powerpoint is sooo much easier). I did enjoy her class she was fun when I had her!

Dr.B has to be the easiest teacher on the campus. She gets off track all the time and her tests should not be called that name.

Dr. Bufalino is a tough professor, but you learn a lot in her class. I wasn't a reading minor, so I felt like some of the stuff I was doing wasn't really helping me, but I still learned a lot. This class has a huge work load! Two major papers, a huge packet that took me well over fifteen hours of time (it was nice once it was finished), and other various assignments. If you want to learn and be prepared for teaching, take her...it's worth it...and I got an A.

Class is easy.... as long as you go to class and do the fifteen minute homework assignments you'll get and A.... and the final is all multiple choice and open notes and book.

I enjoyed Dr. Bufalino's class very much. She's really easy going with students but she gets her point across. Even though I am not a reading minor and this is a course directed specifically at student with that minor, I still found Dr. Bufalino made the material accessible for a student like me who, quite frankly, has much less interest in the subject area than the rest of the class.

Dr. Bufalino's class wasn't bad at all. The first half of the semester is spent learning how to do different types of assessments. The second half of the semester is really busy with a lot of papers and projects due, but her grading system isn't difficult if you do it the way she explains. She's fun in class and has a good sense of humor. Overall, I enjoyed this class.

Dr. Bufalino is one of the funniest profs. I have had here. This class could have been the most broring class ever, but she made it chaotically bearable! If she picks on you, its cause she likes you. I LOVED HER!!! Shes not ur normal jumper wearing el. ed teacher, shes got flair.

I love this class. And this could be a VERY boring class, but I must admit, I dont mind going to class every t-th, even though I believe she has scared me into not missing class :) She has a way making me retain everything in class, it makes the class so easy. She may be a little ditsy at times, but it adds to the class! Seriously she just cracks up, and the class cracks up. And if she picks on/harrasses you... it is bc she likes you! Dont take it personally.. you should learn that now b4 you take her! She is funny, and is the best to take for this class! She is VERY experienced in this field. I'm glad I have her!

Some classes are way boring and you almost want to die but a lot of them are fun too. She has this sarcastic humor that makes her funny and tolerable. Her papers arent that bad. They seem like they are going to be terrible but you actually learn something and use it. Take her if you can!

Dr. Bufalino is one of my favorite professors. She teaches really well, and she has a fun, sarcastic sense of humor. I find that her class always flies by. Take her, she teaches really well and she's such a fun, outgoing professor. She really knows a lot.

I don't know you all are talking about. Dr. Bufalino is awesome. Its only been half the semester and I have learned so much from her. She is a great prof. She is a bit disorganized... but who isn't? I would definitely recommend her to anyone. She jokes around a lot, but it all relates to the class....WATCH OUT FOR DEVIL DUCK!!!!

I loved her. She is a very understanding professor, who is always willing to answer any questions. Her class is funny. I am not one who is good with attendance, and she requires it. But I missed her class at least 5 or 6 times a semester and had a good excuse and she still gave me an A!

Dr. Bufalino is indeed very airheaded, and is usually off task, but that just makes her fun! Her quizzes and midterm were a little difficult, but tolerable. In response to those of you who said her phonics quizzes were hard, maybe you didn't study! Yes you have to teach the information yourself, but thats part of growing up. Also, the quiz is right from the book! If you at least read it and do the exercises, then you are fine!

Dr. Bufalino is a cool prof. She's extremely encouraging, and is always willing to answer questions, even if you have a bunch, like me:) You'll learn a lot if you take her, but WARNING, if she gets to know you, she'll pick on ya! But it's all out of fun. TAKE HER!!

In both classes there are pop quizes (3) which are a little difficult, a midterm & final. Bufalino does a good job teaching reading instruction and giving you ideas to use in the classroom. She grades easy on your observations and class presentations. She is very airheaded - which is certain to cause some laughable moments in class. Take her...

Dr. Bufalino knows the information she is teaching very well. However, she is unavailable when you need help and is very unwilling to accommodate your needs. She also was very scatter brained and went off topic very often during class discussions. She also graded things harshly, saying she taught us stuff differently when she actually hadn't.

She's probably the rudest woman I've ever met. According to her, youre never supposed to miss class. And trust me, if you miss one, she'll make sure to call you out in front of the entire class. And she won't help you make up any work you missed.

I am not complaining about dr bufalino because I got a bad grade, but because she drove my class and I completely crazy! She never knew what she was talking about, and contradicted herself and the book regularly. She is extremely immature, and she argues with students instead of taking the mature higher ground. I really wanted to learn in this class, but was extremely disappointed. Aside from what I taught myself, this class definitely did not prepare me for the praxis!!!!!! save yourself the aggrivation and just schedule someone else.

Although Bufalino is very kind and fun, her class is not the same. She is very unorganized and ditsy. She very rarely seems to know what she is going to teach and she gives impossible phonics quizzes on material that you have to teach yourself. She also gives you "hints" about what pop quizzes will be on, then tests on everything but what she "hinted" Don't get me wrong shes a very kind woman, I just wouldnt recommend taking her class.

She gives pop quizzes and the questions aren't like the bold face words-they are small sentences from the middle of the text. She also is very airheaded. The phonics quizzes are also hard 'cause she doesn't go over the info. you have to teach yourself.

Dr. Bufalino taught us some valuable information and her class was upbeat. Her class consists of one lesson plan per week and a few very simple projects as well as a final. There are no tests or quizes. The only thing I didn't like was that I felt like a teenager was trying to teach our class. She acts like she is trying to be in high school again. She is very ditzy and unorganized. The class is pretty simple as long as you can get past her teenage attitude.

Dr. B is nice and she wants you to do well, but she *is* very disorganized and she gets easily frustrated when she's confused and sometimes takes it out on the class. Also, I did not like that some of the grades I received seemed to be based on whether or not she agreed with my point of view or not. That was a little upsetting, and I would have had an A except she took off five points from one of my papers because she disagreed with something I wrote. I thought that was a little unfair. So overall, a nice professor, but scatterbrained and opinionated.

I am not really sure what to think of Buffalino. She really knows her stuff, but she is not the greatest and explaining things through the first time. HOWEVER, the stuff that we are learning about is VERY easy to understand if you just read the book. I would not take her again, but her class is easy so it's up to you.
