Dr. Jantz is probably one of my favorite professors. She is really easy-going, she is very easy to talk to, and she is very available if you need to meet with her because you don't understand the material or need to reschedule a test. During finals week she passed around a paper for anyone who had a lot due on their allotted day of finals. Even if they didn't have two exams as their reason why they needed to change the day of their finals, she allowed you to take it during the final time allotted for one of the other classes. She didn't make her class boring, she definitely cares about her students & really wants everyone to be as interested in the information as she is. She really knows what she is talking about and she doesn't talk too technically so that you can't absorb the material, but she doesn't talk down to students either. I would definitely take one of her classes again.

Kept class interesting. Easy exams, if you came to class, which is required and listened. Quizzes weren't bad and in class assignments weren't bad either. Totally a science geek, but not a bad thing. Take her!

Dr Jantz was always friendly and all her quizzes are online. Her exams are not too challenging and there is no final. Definitely recommend her!

She was a real good teacher. 1 simple paper. 12 quizzes drops 2 lowest. Just read book for quizzes. Print out powerpoints and pay attention in class and write down all notes. She was simple... most of the test is on questions from the quizzes and lectures. Simple and easy... take her for a good GPA booster.

Dr. Jantz was such a good teacher! Just show up to the number of classes you're supposed to, study for each test, and do all of the quizzes (not hard with the book) and you'll be fine! She is very nice and offers a good amount of extra credit opportunities. She makes it interesting!

Dr. Jantz is a really cool professor. She really makes the class time feel short. Some days, I feel as though I am only in there for ten minutes. I really enjoy her class and think that she is a great teacher. The only things that I do not like are her tests and quizzes. They are not easy, but they are not hard either. If you study and pay attention in class, you should be fine. All her quizzes are online which is really cool because you take them when you want. Her tests are really long, but if you do your study guide you will be fine. Overall, she is a really good teacher and you should try to take her class. One more thing, do not ask her if we have off class because of fall break or something, she will tell you. That is where the patient thing comes in. One kid did this in my class and she ended up holding us up after class. Other than that, she is AWESOME!!!!!!

She is boring to sit in class and listen to but she knows her stuff and you have weekly quizzes that are easy! You also have a term-paper and oral thingy that is seriously nothing... it sucked to write it but it was over fast. You have I think 3 exams and you do have to study but they aren't that bad. I did like her but you do have to study but shes really nice. I def recommend her!

dr. jantz was incredibly fair to me. I ended up skipping an exam because I was sick, and although her policy is that you cannot make up exams, after a private talk with her, I was able to make it up, saving my grade in this class. Her quizzes are easy if you spend a little time studying, and her tests are the same way. I didn't study at all and earned a 76 on the first test, then studied and earned a 90 on the next one. Her attitude is always positive, and she offers extra credit assignments. Make sure you spend a lot of time on your current event though because she really closely inspects them.

She is a very good teacher, and a great person. She is very patient and genuinely wants to teach this course. However, she seems to be new to teaching. She seems a little nervous, and unprepared sometimes, and gets material confused easily (probably because nervous). I don't know how long she's been teaching, but I got the impression that she was new to the whole thing. In any case, the class is interesting, she's been to a lot of places, and she's a good person.

The only negative part of this class is how boring it can be if you're not really interested in geo. Dr. Jantz is very nice and very fair. She tells you exactly what you should study for tests and quizzes, has one very decent, yet still challenging project for the semester, and really cares about what she teaches. Her interest in the topic helps it be more interesting to you, even if geo usually isn't. I have recommended her to all my friends.

This class is pretty easy. You have two weeks of quiz's followed by an exam and so on. There are a total of 4 exams, 10 quiz's, and a current event you have to do. The quiz's come straight from the textbooks online website & the current event is simple. Every lecture is a power point which she posts on blackboard & you don't have to read. The class can be boring but who cares, its easy.

Dr. Jantz is so incredibly nice and funny. Her class was so easy, the quizzes she gave were right from the online quizzes for each chapter. The exams weren't so bad either. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing an easy gen ed class.

Dr. Jantz is the best professor I've had at this stupid school. Early in the class I was a little worried because I had a low C/D, but with the extra credit she gives and test curves I ended up with an A. As long as you do the work, she is really helpful and seems like she wants all her students to do well. All her lectures are power point and she puts them on blackboard, so if u miss class you have all the notes exactly as they are presented. She is a really nice lady and I really recommend taking her class!!

World Geography with professor Jantz turned out to be a very good class. I joined the class late and thought I would be lost for the entire semester, but I was wrong. She was more than happy to help and went out of her way to post everything we needed for class on blackboard and also e-mailed us to remind us about map quizes and homework. The class was interesting and full of information, but if you take notes, do the few homework assignments for points, and study for exams, you will get a lot out of the class. It was one of my best gen eds.

For being a Geography class which is bound to be boring, I actually did not mind this one. Prof. Jantz really cares about what she teaches and knows what she's talking about. She's always willing to explain further and answer any questions in or out of class. It may seem tough in the beginning, but once you get used to the routine, it's not a bad class at all. She is really easy to get a hold of out of class through e-mail and is quick to respond. All in all, it was a good class and Prof. Jantz made Geography a lot better than I thought it would be.

She is not a bad teacher at all. I started off with a D in the class, but now I think I'm gonna get a B. She is friendly and you can ask her questions, and she gives out extra credit.

Subject: She's great, if you have interest in the material  (Nov 17 2005, 09:06PM)

Class:Land Use (A)
12 of 37 students found this review helpful.

I had this prof. for Land Use. Although most of the kids in my class were frustrated with it, I loved it. Adding to this is also the fact that I love land use issues/legislation; so for me this class was awesome! I sponged the theories and practices right up, into my skull. The tests weren't hard at all, in fact they were almost damn near easy; taking into consideration that I probably studied about 7 hours for them. The papers she asks you to write aren't too hard although they require some thought and not mindless babble. She's really a dry lecturer, but then again the material is pretty dry. All in all I thought she was great. Compared to other prof's in the Earth/Science dept, she's surely the best. The rest of them, every one of them, are idiotic, bullish, brusque, inconsiderate, and dumbfounded babboons. She's a wondrous teacher...I highly advise taking her.

She is a very good prof. She is new this year. She uses blackboard a lot which makes it easy if you have to miss class. That is a very good thing because we all need to miss once and a while and she is Very understanding about absences.

I took this professor for World Geography. For me this class was super easy, but it required a little work. Some of the students were whiny about having to do some work, but it's a class, and that's what you do in classes. As long as you study the notes and maps you should do great on the tests. The only reason I didn't get an A is because I didn't care enough about the subject to do my best (you see my major is biotech).

Subject: Easy, but Dull  (Dec 15 2005, 05:56PM)
Student: Anonymous (Elementary Education)
Class:World Geography (B+)
12 of 37 students found this review helpful.

World Geography was a fairly easy class. She posted all of her lecture slides on BlackBoard for easy access if you missed class or just wanted to print out the info. Her lectures were really dull, though. I slept through her class every time but maybe 2. I also missed her class about 5 or 6 times. And I still managed a B+. It's because of the accessibility of the lecture notes and the fact that you can print out the outline of what the exams will be on, along with practice questions. Take her if you're interested in the material, but if not, I wouldn't recommend her. She wasn't bad, but like I said before, the lectures were really dry.
