Ok, so I am actually still enrolled in Dr. J's class, but I expect to get an A and just wanted to leave a realistic comment on here for anyone using this website as a guide for scheduling like I do. Stress management is just one of the courses I am taking for credit value, but Dr. J's class actually makes you think and re-evaluate your daily life and entire life as a whole in a good way. We do about 4 chapters a test and there are 4 tests, the final isn't cumulative. I recommend reading the chapters, which aren't long and the book is written in a conversational way that makes it fun/easy to read. You cover a chapter a week so it's not hard to stay on top of that reading. Every Friday we do a "lab exercise" which is usually at henderson gym and is something like throwing a frisbee or playing dodgeball. The most annoying thing is the lab journal which is just a folder with all the labs we do, like going to the batting cages or frisbee, and the handouts he passes out in class which are exact copies of the notes/slides. Even that isn't such a big deal, so you have to be really lazy or really dumb to not like the class, sure he's a little dorky with his high waisted, pleated pants, but he's all about sports and he's super nice.

This class was not very hard, but his grading scale is so blurry that you have no idea how you are doing in his class. We had three tests and we never even got the second back until the last day. Boring classes and boring professor. Take someone else if you can.
