Dr. Lee is always available to help. She's even answered emails at 11PM asking details about projects/homeworks. She's in her office way past the office hours she lists, and will solve any problem she assigns on the spot if you ask her to. She won't give away the answer though -- she'll make you understand the concepts, which is why she assigned it in the first place. Her classes are not easy by any stretch of the imagination, but with a little work and focusing on what she covers in the homework handouts, it's not a challenge to do well in her classes. Overall, she's a great professor.

Not bad of a teacher. She can be a bit judgmental of her students at time, but she means well. She's always willing to help and even though she can get frustrated with the same questions she won't turn you away. Just keep your guard up and you'll be fine. I started slipping midway through the semester, but I pulled back up in time and got an A- in the end. The biggest mistake is to relax too much. The homework is easy, and so are the projects, the quizzes are very hard, but even if you blow them they usually help you ace the test, no matter how bad you did (as long as you're willing to go over them). I'd recommend her to anyone who's willing to learn the material well.

Overall Dr. Lee is a good professor and if you have a problem understanding anything she'll explain it to you much better the second time. The class was pretty easy. The projects were easy for me as long you're comfortable with C and MIPS assembly. Shes very fair for tests and quizzes, she tells you what will be on them so there's no excuse for doing worse then a B on anything. The only problem I had with her was sometimes it was difficult to understand what she was saying. She knows her stuff when it came to comp org and the class would have been much more enjoyable and productive if her accent wasn't so strong. Overall I learned what I needed and nothing in excess that I wont ever need again.

She teaches from powerpoint which gets boring but as long as you take half decent notes and show up to class its an easy A. Its just a few easy multiple choice/true false tests and a couple easy hw assignments. I did very little in this class and got an A. Take her!

This was Dr. Lee's first year at Ship, and she tried so hard. People have made it really hard on her because she is Korean and is really hard to follow. Granted, the material is WAY too in-depth for an overview class, but it's not that difficult. If there's something that you don't understand, she'll go over it until you do. At first her homework and quizzes were hard, but she eased up as the semester went on. I know most people will give her a negative rating, but most of those people are the ones who either don't show up for class or they sit and surf the net all class. If you fail, it's your own damn fault.

I only attended class for the first day before I knew I had to drop it. Do not take if English is your first language because she is impossible to understand. I expected a BASIC GEN ED course, but that is not what she teaches! She starts teaching and writing formulas on the board as if we are all experts on the first day.

Unfortunately there is no way to avoid her as a professor, because she is the only one for that course. This course is a requirement for my major, I would NOT take it otherwise. She speaks broken English, so it is very difficult to understand. She assumes that whatever she says you must comprehend it inside and outside at that moment. She grades VERY poorly. If she feels you are cheating, even thought you didn't, she will give you a zero and will not change it under any circumstances. Although the material may she easy, it is challenging. Good Luck with her!!!!

I took computer organization from Lee. The class average was a D. There is a major English barrier. She is unable to effectively communicate the contents of this class. Her final was ridiculously impossible. She is a nice lady, but if you take her class it will destroy you. Avoid if you can.

I had her for comp org, and while that class sucks no matter what professor you have, it seemed like she didn't even know the material herself, and often times she didn't know the answers to the questions we asked her. Besides that shes very hard to understand and acts like the class is retarded. Although she is a pretty nice person overall and was always available for office hours.

She was a thorough teacher, but she has a heavy accent which is difficult to understand. I'm sure she would be fine for an into course, but for higher level courses she's hard to deal with, you HAVE to read a lot to get a good grade. There wasn't too much homework.
