Prof. Belton was a really nice guy. I was always so excited to get to his class. If you like sticking to a set schedule, don't take him. We didn't even use the syllabus. It didn't matter though because we just let discussion take us to different topics. We did have to read a few novels, but due to lack of time...he threw out two that we were supposed to read. He is very understanding and willing to help you. He makes you want to participate in class. TAKE HIM!!

Professor Belton is a great professor. His class was so easy, and it barely required any work. It is supposed to be a writing class, but we only did four assignments the entire semester, two of which were only a paragraph. He requires you to read a lot of books to participate in the class discussion, but they are not so bad to read and you can even get by without reading them all. He was a very funny guy, and his class was always amusing. I would definitely recommend taking this professor if you can. It was an easy A.

Prof. Belton is a great teacher. There are very few writing assignments and most of the books he assigns to read are very good. Class is always a discussion that makes you think and you will always come out of the class with a profound thought and in a great mood. He is probably the most happy-go-lucky guy I've ever met. Although class can get a little boring sometimes, if you are ready to open your mind, take it.

Professor Belton keeps the class active and laughing. One day, when a student failed to come to class, Professor Belton had another student who was a friend of the absent student, call her and ask "why aren't you here!". It was classic Belton. The class was however very easy to pass. Half of your grade is based on attendance, participation, and online journals, of which we only did three and they only consisted of one to two paragraphs. It's not hard to get a good participation grade due to the fact that everyone is so uncomfortable with the subjects we talked about in class. All you would need to do to accomplish a perfect grade for this half of your final grade, is to simply show up 90% of the time, participate maybe once every three classes, and post the online journal correctly within the time limit(one week each). The other half of your grade is based on writing about stereotypes, racism, abuse, and women's rights. You only have to write four papers, of which the shortest is two paragraphs and the longest is 2-4 pages, and they are evenly spread across the entire semester, which gives you plenty of time to complete the papers almost three weeks in advance. The only bad thing about Professor Belton's class is that you will have to read 3-4 novels, which are long and a little too artsy for any normal oxygen breathing human. With any effort in this class you will be on your way for an A. Belton even will let you out of class early if he hasn't had a coffee yet today (Starbucks Addict). It is an easy, interesting class that is still very rewarding.

I had Prof Belton for Writing Intensive First Year Seminar. This guy is still in the 60s and 70s. I only came to class at an average of 2/3 the semester. It was sooo easy. As long as you try he will pass you. The class was made up of 100 pts, the first 50 were given to you, then we had 5 writing assignments for 1. Pts each and the 5th one was the final. The class was really boring but it was worth sitting through to get an easy grade. He's a pretty cool guy.
