Professor Zume is so chill and relaxed... he's also fumy. He class lectures were average and his labs were easy because he lets you work in groups. If you study and comprehend the material his exams are straight forward.

If you don't like Dr. Zume, you must be a boring person. For a professor, he has A TON of personality. He's a really nice guy, very funny in a cheesy way, and always willing to explain things for you if you're lost. He really loves when students participate and draw conclusions between the material you're learning. You'll do about 3 labs, which you have very little time for and they're sometimes pretty hard. You'll get through them, they just suck. He gives you 3 exams and a final - all 50 questions on scantron. MAKE SURE YOU STUDY. You can't guess this stuff and they're pretty hard. He also gives you a semester long weather journal and an opportunity for 15 points of extra credit.

Dr. Zume is a very effective professor who relates his life experiences to the course to further the students understanding of the concepts he teaches. He sometimes strays from topic, but it makes for better discussion and a stronger student professor relationship. I greatly enjoyed all of the classes I had with him so far. I would strongly recommend any of Dr. Zume's classes if you are looking for a professor who doesn't just stand there and preach, expecting you to learn on your own. He is a very interactive professor that makes class enjoyable and makes you laugh from his occasional mispronunciation of words with his thick Nigerian accent.

Dr Zume is totally awesome. He knows what he is talking about. Offers plenty of extra credit for those who needs it, and keeps class interesting with his jokes. He can be somewhat hard to understand but overall he is a great guy and a great prof.

Dr. Zume is by far my favorite professor so far. He is so funny and makes class fun. I really have never minded going to class. He really makes sure you understand the material, and as long as you print out his powerpoints, you will do well on the exam. You will do well on almost all of his quizzes because he gave us an extra point just for "helping him grade" our own quizzes. Labs are fairly easy as well, always in groups. He is an absolutely AWESOME professor and highly recommend taking him.

Dr. Zume is such a nice guy. The tests and homework assignments are difficult, but I feel like he makes up for it. He is a lot of fun, and seems to truly care about his students. He may be a bit difficult to understand, but he knows this and tries to help. I would take him for a science gen. ed. because that seems to be what he is passionate about. Overall, such a nice, caring guy!

Dr. Zume is a really intelligent guy and an interesting person to talk to. If you listen to his lectures and review the notes before the test it is easy. Too many people can't look past his accent and bad jokes that are actually hilarious and then f*ck up in his class. If you just man up and pay attention the class is easy as sh*t.

Dr. Zume is a really nice guy. It takes a little time to get used to the accent, but he will write a word on the board if you don't understand him. He always has a powerpoint for the lecture that you can print out before class. His tests are a little difficult, and the labs are not the most fun things in the world because they're confusing. I had a night class once a week, and he often gave us extra credit or hint to test questions as a reward for staying for the entire class. As long as you show up, pay attention and do a minimal amount of studying, Dr. Zume's class will be "chicken change." (You might get that if you had him!. I would definitely take him again! :)

Personally, I found Dr. Zume to be my least favorite professor of the semester. He often goes off track from his lessons and rambles aimlessly about field hockey or beer. This is especially frustrating on lab days when this rambling interferes with your time to complete the lab and you are then expected to turn it in on his time, despite any logical arguments. I made the mistake of showing up to class all the time, because he doesn't take attendance and students who missed all the time did not get punished because all notes are put on blackboard. I found this class to be infuriating and a waste of my time

Zume cares a lot about his students... to the point that he'll stop his lecture mid-sentence to ask a student where her boyfriend took her for dinner last night (true story!) He is so hard to follow, not because of his accent, but because he gets distracted and begins to socialize or talk about field hockey. The labs are sheets of paper stapled together, so if you want a real lab don't take atmosphere. I was under the impression that I'd be doing activities not worksheets. He also gives about 10 minutes of class time to complete the 4 page lab with a partner then expects you and your partner to do the rest of it outside of class and hand it in first thing the next morning. His grad assistant does all of his grading and she's messed up plenty of grades, both mine and classmates'. He doesn't stick to the syllabus when it comes to the grading scale either, so you never really know what's going on. It drives me crazy not knowing my grade. He would be wonderful if he stuck to a structure and schedule.

Overall he's okay...needless to say Hydrology isn't the most exciting class, but he tries his hardest to keep kids interested. His homework is hard and he doesn't seem to understand the material nearly as much as he should, making it even harder. On more than one occasion he's been corrected by kids in class for doing problems/equations wrong. He's a nice guy though, and I would neither avoid nor go out of my way to take him.

Dr. Zume is a really nice guy and keeps class fun and interesting. But this class was kind of hard. He expects you to be able to do really hard calculations, with little explanation. The class averages on the tests were usually D's. If you want to do well you need to study. He has a very strong African accent, so it can be hard to understand him too. However, he is always willing to help you, and one-on-one he can explain thing pretty well. I learned a lot from him.

He has an accent, which is pretty easy to understand. He always has a powerpoint for every chapter, but I did horrible on all his exams. This class comes with a lab, but we never did any. Whenever we did, it was a packet of papers, which were impossible. He doesn't take attendance, but says he notices who attends class on a regular basis. I didnt miss a class, did all the homework and labs, and extra credit and still should of received a d. Somehow I got a b- though. Thank god.
