I've had Langella for two classes here at Ship. He is genuinely a very nice guy. He usually has some fun stories, some of which involve good times and talking about liquid bread :) As long as you study the assignments he assigns for each chapter, you will ace his classes. His class is as easy as that. No preparation for class is needed. I show up for class and try to pay attention. His slideshows are boring, but the class is cake. You will feel bad when you fall asleep tho, bc he is such a nice guy. I recommend if you want an easy A w/ a good guy. Extra credit makes it all the easier too.

Dr. Langella is a great professor who is very enthusiastic about his job. He is always smiling and is genuinely happy to be at Shippensburg. Dr. Langella is always willing to answer questions and makes every effort to not offend someone (to the point of annoyance actually). He has his "funny stories" which are sometimes funny, most of the time not. He does have a lot of field experience, giving him numerous examples to draw from in class. Operations was fairly easy because he teaches right out of the book. The test questions were VERY similar to the practice homework problems he assigned. You can get an A easily. Take this class with Dr. Langella if you can.

I sat in the front in this class and still couldn't focus. He reads from the powerpoint and bores you to death. He's extremely nice though and well traveled but that doesn't really help when it comes to stats. It's an extremely dry class and to make it worse, he'll teach something and at the end tell you it's not going to be on any exams. Good luck if you take him and don't get behind or you won't do well.

Dont judge all your info off my rating but when I took him I did not pay attention at all and did none of my readings... I got caught up in other classes. Personally I did not like him. He tries hard for everyone to like him. Talks about germany a lot. CLASSES- a lot of information and numbers and symbols... very boring and all powerpoint. TESTS- you have 3 tests with like 4-5 chapters per test. Its a lot of information but you do get to put formulas on a notecard. The test questions are like the homework. The powerpoints for each chapter are like 50 slides and it's too much info to cram in the night before so thats why I am not doing well in the class... maybe if you study every day. I personally just did not like this teacher and did not like how the class was set up.

Dr. Langella is very experienced in his field of study. His tests are fairly easy if you understand the material. His lectures are straight from a powerpoint and it can be hard to follow because he doesn't go into too much detail with the lessons. He gives you a homework packet in the beginning of the semester and if you do it, you will pass easily. He takes the test questions right off the hw problems and there are no questions that are not in the packet. He also gives extra credit for not missing classes and he has a "grade curve" that he came up with which can boost your grade. Everything is weighted differently as well. He is very available and will teach you individually the problems that you don't understand. This isn't the easiest class if you aren't good with statistics, but Langella is a good professor to take. You just have to put in some simple effort.
