She only teaches 8am classes on MWF, TR... but oh my god, she's the best professor to have for History. One 3-5 page term paper on a book of her choice, 4 exams (counting the final, which is NOT cumulative), and 3 2-3 page homework assignments on topics discussed in class. She gives an insane amount of extra credit, particularly in the form of bonus quizzes, outside exhibits/presentations, etc. which can greatly boost your grade. There are student presentations (5 minutes and 5 minutes only!!! biographies) which she uses for bonus on her exams, so pay attention to them. The class is fairly easy and she usually gives a HUGE bonus assignment at the end of the semester that can boost your lowest exam grade. Take advantage of her bonus opportunities and never be afraid to talk with her. She's very understanding. And when she says "Good morning," please do her a favor and respond. :)

When I first found out I had to take a history class I was very unhappy, because I hate history. Then, I found out it was at 9am, and I thought for sure I would fail! This professor makes it really easy to pass this class! There is one essay that you write on a book. I read 28 pages of the book, and wrote my essay. I received a 97%. There are 4 exams. I failed one exam and got in the 80's on all the other ones. There are a few online assignments that you have to do maybe 3, but they are pretty much a joke. There are many many ways to earn extra credit! She also is really easy to work with! The classes are straight lecture, but she tries really hard to incorporate everyone's interests into as many parts as possible. There is one presentation that you can pretty much wing, as I did. It's on a historical person and as long as you give a handful of good facts you will be fine! Overall, I highly suggest her to ANYONE!

Professor Wadas was the sweetest prof I had in my first semester! She is such a nice lady. She does require quite a bit of note taking and work, but she is such an easy grader! And she is such a happy person. I love the comments she left on my papers. Her tests do require studying, don't expect to pass without doing that. But she really is a great prof, and I'm upset that I couldn't find her on the list for World History II when I was scheduling :(

I LOVED professor Wadas! Her sense of humor, her teaching style, and just her personality was out of this world!! Mind you I had this class at 8am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I honestly felt bad when I had to miss one of her classes! She's helpful, kind, and just an angel!! She's patient and always ready to answer a question. Her mantra was "if I dont know it, then you wont have to either!" Her tests are crazy easy (matching, multiple choice, a couple of map questions, short answer, and then extra credit). We only had to write 2 essays in which we had ample time to get the info for. The discussions sometimes could be kind of dry but this lady is funny on the DL because she mutters stuff under her breath and had me and my friend cracking up. idk I just really enjoyed her as my professor.

This teacher was by far my favorite. She's nice, and sweet and her teaching style is so easy...but I actually learned. Her class is so straightforward and easy to understand it's hard to fail the class. Her lectures are interesting and she tries her best to put the lessons in context of what interests us. I'm a freshman and she's my favorite. I'm so glad I got a professor like her for my first college experience. I hope I can get her for World History II and if not it'll be quite a shame. You want this professor.

First, let me say that getting this woman was by far sheer luck. The teacher I had beforehand was horrible, she got terminally ill and then we got this saint. Heather Wadas is by far the best History teacher in the department. I didnt have to take World History II because I got credit for it in HS through an AP exam, but rest assured if I needed to, I would've braved the 8AM class for this teacher. Her tests are as follows; 3 exams: 15% of your grade each, they are all based on notes. Easy as cake. You also have 2 writing prompts that are each again... 15% of your grade. 1 is on a book of your choice (Book Report) and the other is on famous women, a comparison of 3 ancient women to 3 modern women. She almost always grades an 88 on essays. Also Participation/small assignments are 25% of your grade. She gives out so much Extra credit its not funny. My only regret is that I would've done the homework cause then the extra credit would've given me an A in the class. Instead the extra credit covered the work I didnt do. Her teaching style reminded me a lot of that of the sweet lady who taught all my history classes in high school. Shes marvelous. More Importantly, She's easy, friendly and Nice. I loved her. I hope she teaches another class again soon!

I am taking World History II right now, and wishing that I would have taken her for World History II also. Compared to the professor I have now (Bloom) her class was a little more work, but she graded so easy. There is around 4 tests the whole semester all based on your notes, if you know the notes you will get an A on the tests...she gives you the essay questions before hand. She has homework that are assigned but as long as you make an effort to read them and do the assignment you will get an A. Also, she gives extra credit quizzes a lot, usually on a Friday since people skip. Overall, if you attend the class and actually try this class is impossible to get anything less than a B+.

Wadas is not the worst teacher I've ever had, but she's certainly not the greatest. All she ever does is lecture. Lecture lecture lecture. It's incredibly boring. And most of what she lectures isn't even on the test. I take notes every class and study them but half of the stuff on the test I've never heard of. She seems like a nice enough person, just not a good prof.

I would say her classes are one of those you can fall asleep to as all she does is lecture. But, the work in the class is not all that bad. A few exams a paper and like 4 hw assignments is not terrible.
