Prof Malins class was not that hard. All you have to do is go to class and take fairly decent notes. True the group labs she makes you do don't make much sense and the material isn't on the test but as long as you have a motivated person in your group its not hard to get them done. Her lectures aren't that boring although I did find myself drawing on my notebook every once in a while... overall it was an easy A.

Malin will constantly tell you that she is fresh out of University of Buffalo...an establishment she often rubbed in our face because it is "a more prestigious institution than Shippensburg.." The majority of Malin's classes are lectures that make you look at open windows and think about jumping. When not lecturing, she is assigning you group projects...remember this class is Conservation of Natural Resources, her projects are on Schistosomiasis (a disease found in Africa and South America) and the Social effects of gold mining. But don't worry dear friends, when test time rolls around the information that you spent weeks on compiling for your project are irrelevant. The test is on whatever random material Malin decides to pull out, often she misses the key themes of chapters. Even though my grade wasn't that bad in this class there is no reason it couldn't have been an A with a competent professor. In summation, Ms. Malin needs to go back to Buffalo, because she is superior to all of us, and Shippensburg kids are just not at the level needed to understand her.

Professor Malin's class overall was just alright....it wasn't the most exciting course, and it wasn't the worst either. Her classes are all lecture from Powerpoint....so plan on taking a fairly large amount of notes. When she lectures she tends to go quickly....so sometimes I found myself having trouble writing down what was on the Powerpoint slides and what she was saying at the same time. You have 2 exams (40 Multiple choice, t/f, and matching) and 1 final (50 Multiple choice, t/f, and matching)...the final is not cumulative. You also have labs that go along with each section discussed in class.....they're kind of a pain. She doesn't give you much time at the end of class to complete the labs (about 20 min.) The biggest pain with the labs were that they had nothing to do with what we were learning in class and none of the info from the labs were on the tests. Overall ok, but her teaching style could use a bit of work.
