Simply put, she is always around and willing to help. If you are not test savvy like I am, ...only 60 percent of the grade is test as opposed to others that are 80 percent. You have hw problems due online before the test that do actually help. Also there is an overall finance group project (required in all classes). She is the only prof that will show you how to do the problems on your calc rather then looking at spreadsheets with A LOT of numbers playing guess that answer. In the end TAKE HER

Subject: Easily the Worst Prof in Grove  (Jan 17 2012, 04:04AM)

I took Dr. Bryant last semester for FIN 311...it was awful. She keeps you until the very last minute if not later, which wouldnt be so bad except you cover almost nothing in every single class. I attended class with the hope that she might eventually come to class with a lesson plan...never happened. Its obvious she doesn't know her own field and is completely incapable of teaching. I've never met some one who can waste 75 minutes so adequately. She knows nothing, teaches nothing, and to cover all this up she calls on people throughout the class and when no one knows the answer..SHE'LL STILL give you a hard time and never tell you the answer! Avoid at all costs, if its possible to be more uneducated when leaving a class..she's done it.

There really is nothing good I can say about this professor for this class. We spend entire sessions going over say 10% of a chapter, then all of a sudden, next class you're onto the next chapter. I remember we spent about 3 or 4 classes on simple interest rates, which was a total waste of time. There is so much more we could have been going over. She also loves to spend time talking about absolutely useless information. In total she probably teaches about 15 minutes of solid information in any given class session. The rest is explaining the info again and again to students who didn't understand it(they should go to her office hours for this), or just talking about every tiny detail of every single formula which just confuses everybody more. She also has no set teaching method. It is very unorganized and hard to follow. Do a problem here, a lecture there, explain something from 2 weeks ago, etc. Its very frustrating to sit in a 300 level finance course and deal with this. I think the problem is also that she does not see the 'big picture'. She spends too much time on the minor details, when the point of the class should be to focus on the bigger picture. My reason for this is because the subject is so complicated, all those formulas we need to know, will probably be forgotten once the class is over. If she would focus on the big concepts, then that is stuff that we would remember and retain longer. She does not understand this. Take at your own risk!
