Subject: Learn to Communicate  (May 29 2011, 05:25AM)

Cost Accounting requires higher critical level thinking than her Managerial Accounting class. Look towards three exams, class participation and a miniature case report. This course introduces key topics pertaining to the CMA exam, while Mackie completes the cycle. Most importantly, pay attention to ACC201 for success in this course, very similar with additional details. Still expect to study before each class or you will be lost during class discussion. As for the reports, learn to address the questions and be able to communicate effectively (my kryptonite). A must-take course.

I had her class in the Fall of 2009, and it was her first semester here and I think she did a good job!! As long as you show up to class and do your homework you're going to get a passing grade!!! The tests are not bad if you look over your notes, and she basically gives you 100 points for homework, which she posts the solutions on blackboard!!!

I loved this class! She assigned very few homework assignments and she told us everything that was going to be on the test, and told us which material was not on the test. On the day of each exam, she would randomly collect from people homework assignments which she called portfolios(She gives you the solution sets :) ). Nearly 68% of the final exam was take-home. So on final exam day it only took me 20 minutes to finish the in-class part, and I'm a careful test taker. I learned a lot, and she was very helpful when I'd see her during her office hours. Getting an high A is very accomplish-able assuming you do the homework and read the assigned pages. I'd definitely recommend her.

I really don't see why shes getting bad reviews. Seriously the easiest class ever. I studied for maybe an hour or two before the tests and I never went to class. She tells you basically exactly whats on the test before every test through email. She goes so slow. Look through the book before the test and you should get an easy A if you're not retarded. I am in no way an accounting major.

Subject: Worst Professor   (Mar 28 2013, 06:18AM)

I am still currently taking her class, and I am very good student and am doing well in her class only because I can teach myself. She takes attendance now so you have to go to class but all she does is literally read from the online version of the book and goes over the same examples, nothing of her own. She teaches like you already know how to do the problem and just goes over it without any explanation. She cancels class periodically, which I as any student would normally be happy about, but when it is 7 times when we only have had 9 weeks of classes, its a bit ridiculous. She doesn't answer your questions she just tells you to see a tutor. Her multiple choice questions on the test are nothing like the ones you do for online quizzes and they usually count for more points than the actual math of accounting. Shes the worst professor I have ever had and have not learned a thing from her class. She also talks to you like you're in kindergarten, but then makes it a college level test. Do not take her if you do not have to.

Subject: Don't expect to learn  (Mar 07 2013, 03:50AM)

The class itself is a bit of a joke. A typical class contains minimal...extremely boring...instruction, with the professor talking to the class like they're all children. Then the rest of the class period is spent going over the easy homework problems she assigns. So while she gives minimal effort and demands minimal effort during her classes, her tests are still rather comprehensive. IF YOU WANT AN EASY C-B GRADE, TAKE HER, BUT IF YOU WANT TO BE IN A HEALTHY LEARNING ENVIRONMENT WHERE YOU WILL LEARN AND COMPREHEND FAIRLY, DO NOT TAKE SADOWSKI!

Subject: Teach yourself!  (Jan 08 2010, 11:08AM)

I would tell anyone to avoid this teacher at all costs! She lectures all the time, very boring. She talks to you like you're in kindergarten. There is basically no structure to her class at all. When you get your tests back you barely can understand what grade you got, because there's a separate grade for each part. The only way I got the grade I did is because I spent hours studying for her tests. The only projects that you have are group projects. There's no homework to turn in. There are no quizzes. You turn in one packet of homework for one exam of the 3. She doesn't care if you understand the material or not, she will keep moving on. It doesn't matter to her if you come to class or not, she doesn't take attendance. Basically, you just teach yourself in this class, if you're not a accounting person just be prepared to study a lot for the exams and to teach yourself!

Here's the run down: She doesn't take attendance, she doesn't collect hw, her tests are nearly impossible, but she'll add a bunch of points on the end. I didn't learn a thing from this class. Be ready to hear managerial accounting is A LOT of fun, repeatedly (10-15 times a day) and in a preschool teacher voice.
