Most people say that Dr. G is hard... She is but you learn a lot out of the class. Her tests are hard but they make you learn the information to remember the concepts. Her homeworks on mymathlab was very easy and you could try until you received 100%. At first her interviews seemed intimidating but honestly, they were not bad at all! She is very understanding and very easy to get along with!! Don't let the course work load turn you away if you really want to learn. Take her!! She is an amazing prof!

Dr. G was a very personal person. She always seems to have a good story to tell. Her class was fun, but I had it at 8 am, so I was usually half asleep. Her tests are easy if you look over notes, except for the comparison questions. She always wanted EXACTLY what she thought. If you didn't memorize it exactly, you were screwed. She has 3 personal interviews for her tests to, but they were all canceled. THANK GOD. All the homework is online and you can easily get a 100. There are 2 out of class essays. Not too hard. I recommend her though (:

Subject: Bad Teaching Style  (Oct 27 2014, 12:35AM)

By far the worst professor Ive had so far. She used the inverted teaching style in my class, which essentially meant that she assigned youtube videos for us to watch and then made us do worksheets in class that didnt match the videos, all the while driving around on her scooter offering criticism of our work with little feedback on what we were doing wrong. When the majority of the class began failing the exams, rather than adjust her teaching style she habitually complained that we all needed to be going to math tutoring several times a week, she expects the math tutors to do the work for her. Her method of assigning homework online was also haphazard with some assignments popping up randomly only a day or two before their due date with no notice. Overall I would say that this professor is a very poor teacher and I am looking forward to taking this course with someone else in the math department.

When I first entered this class she told us it would be mostly online. You take your notes off of youtube videos then do worksheets in groups and take quizzes and tests. If you actually do work in your group it's not hard to pick things up, but if you need a teacher to explain it to you, you may not want to take her because her explanations are very brief. You kind of teach yourself. But overall I did like the class.
