Yarwood is the reason why I am going to declare psychology next semester. Her lectures are more like class discussions, which is my favorite part. She is very friendly, and is open to any opinion. If you read the book and go to class, you will do well on the exams. I definitely recommend her!

Great professor! She offers chapter outlines for you to print out and take to class which make following her lecture simple. She's always in a good mood and enjoys talking to her students during class. The class is very easy but fun at the same time. Take her class if you have the chance!

Professor Yarwood is one of my favorite professors on campus, and has to be the most kind and caring woman ever. She always wanted her students to do well, so she would always go through thing thoroughly so she made sure everyone understood her. She would also post her lecture outlines so it would be easy to take notes in class. I also loved how she would do some hands-on activities to help understand the lessons as well. The lecture outlines that you use to take notes are the primary source of studying for the exams. To go along with this we had to type a very short "Psychology in your Life" paper every week or so which was also really great and helpful in understanding psychology. We were actually applying real life situations to what we were talking about in class. She made psychology so much fun for me and is so much fun. Take professor Yarwood if you have the chance for psychology. You won't regret it!!!!!

I was really dreading psychology but she made it so easy!!! She is the best prof I've had at ship so far! Take her!! It's a lecture style class but you have so many opportunities to earn a good grade. You don't even have to get all the questions right, you just have to put an effort into them and you will get full credit. The tests are a little hard but all you have to do is ask her a question about it and she will help you. Even during the tests. DON'T TAKE ANYONE ELSE!!

She's an English Psych professor. She has an attendance policy and does periodic quizzes through the semester. If you show up to class, and print out study guide she provides online, you will do fine. She is fairly laid back as a professor, and if you take notes and do the Learnsmart(VERY good, do this and you'll learn a lot) you'll do just fine in her class. She does have you write several informal essays which are basically easy points provided you talk about psychology in some way. Not an overly difficult class although her lectures are fairly long.

Awesome professor! The class is all lecture but she walks you through the outlines that she puts up on D2L and if you study them you will do well. She obviously wants her students to do well. She gives random pop quizzes but they aren't that bad and she'll drop your lowest grade on them. Attendance bonus if you miss 2 classes at the most during the semester. Plenty of extra credit opportunities. The papers are a breeze to do and she'll give you the maximum amount of points as long as what you write follows the prompt and show you know what's going on in class. Oh, and she almost always lets out early! She's a genuinely nice woman, very intelligent and knows her students by name, take her if you can!
