Dr. Bratina is a very nice person. She is always willing to help students in anyway possible. Including students trying to find a career. She is very encouraging and treats students like adults. She truly wants to see her students succeed and pass the class with a good grade. To get a great grade:
-show up (her discussions are always on the exams)
-She loves opinions of students, tell her how you feel about situations. It can help you understand material. She also likes students who actively participate.
-Dont need to get carried away with reading. But DO scan through the chapter at least. She does ask basic questions from the book.
She's very fair and the topics you discuss are always interesting. She shows tons of videos too. I enjoyed that because it led to some great discussions following. Don't expect to be let out early or have canceled class. Dr. B is always around.

Dr. B is seriously the best professor to take for intro to Criminal Justice. The work load is so manageable. If you prepare for the quizzes, you will do just fine on the exams. She is always available when you need help. She emails back pretty fast as well. She always tries to relate the class to today and by that she gets the class into discussion. I honestly could not say one negative comment about her. I highly recommend taking any class with Dr. Bratina.

Dr. Bratina is a great professor. She knows what she is talking about and is always willing to help you. She gave 3 exams which we were able to use are notes or books for and one time a partner. She gave 3 assignments that you had to do one being a paper. All in all the class was a piece of cake. You would be stupid not to take her.

I took her class when it was her first year. The only complaint I had was her time management, classes got way behind. She made lecture interesting and even showed good videos to better understand materials. She did out of class assignments often where there was no class on certain Fridays to complete them. Assignments were easy and papers were easy. Her tests consisted mostly of applying concepts, but were easy. She is always available for office hours and welcomes you to stop by just to chat. Take her, you won't regret it!
