Dr. Drevnosky was a great teacher to an intro course. The majority of the class was going over simple and understandable power points. There was some pop quizzes worth only 5 points, and she drops your lowest quiz grade. There were only five activities, which you get credit for, for just showing up. On activity days she usually let us out early. We had three tests, including the final. These were all multiple choice. If you read over the chapters twice, you will do fine. She tried to give extra credit points as well. And she was always available for extra help. Overall she was a great professor who was very nice and accommodating.

She was definitely my favorite teacher I've had so far. She showed a lot of really interesting videos and her tests were very easy, so you could focus on the class without stressing over tests. She's funny and enjoyable, and definitely made me interested in the field of sociology.

This title says it all. Cynthia is the best Soc teacher here at SHIP. The class is so fun, and it makes YOU feel bad if you miss it, because she's so nice, and is always available to help. She also will cancel a class occasionally, and the videos are cool as well, I would definitely take another class with her again. If you have to take Soc 101 or any Soc class take her and I guarantee you will not regret it! P.S. the only reason I got a B- instead of an A was because I didn't really study... if you do even 2 hours the night before you'll get an A.

You will really enjoy this teacher... she is very nice. She does give short quizzes but you get to leave class early then. Tests are easy if you study a little. Very nice teacher!

Her class was great. The tests were pretty hard. And she gave random pop quizzes, which weren't bad as long as you kept up on your readings and notes. There are no papers and no final. The class was really interesting. I definitely learned a lot, and would recommend her to anyone. Take her, she's awesome!

Professor Drenovsky is really nice and entertaining. I have her for a night class and she is a great teacher. She makes the classes enjoyable and shows films a lot. She is very passionate about the subject matter which is great. As long as you read the text AND study you should not have a problem doing well in her class.

I had Professor Drenovsky for Intro to Sociology, and for me, it was an easy A. The grade was made up of three exams, no final, and a few five point quizzes and assignments. She says she gives out pop quizzes, but she usually gives hints about them, so you'll have time to study. The information is very straightforward, relatively easy to understand, and she posts the notes on Blackboard. She gives out a study guide for every test, and her exams are not tricky. She always tries to keep things interesting by having us watch a video almost every class period - but then again, I had her for a night class. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Drenovsky.

Dr. Drenovsky is the best prof I have had thus far. She is the nicest person, and so patient! She gives lots of useful information. Her classes are always interesting and funny. I'm taking her for two classes next semester, and I can't wait. She is an awesome professor...take her!!! :)

Dr. Drenovsky was a really good prof. She is very knowledgable about this subject. Even though she may seem a little morbid because she talks about death a lot, its just because those things are so near and dear to our hearts that it helps us understand the concepts better. I think since she's now the chair of the gerontology department that she will not be teaching 101 next semester but she will be teaching a few other soc classes about aging and death. If you get the chance, take her, you wont regret it!

This lady is soooooo energetic about her subject! Her class (SOC 101) was both interesting and easy. My advice: Take her, and take notes in class. The tests are all based on the notes (a bit on the text), but she'll give you a study guide. So Take her if you get a chance...she's a hoot!

Dr. Drevnosky was very personable and made class enjoyable. She shows quite a few movies but they are pretty interesting. She cancels class quite a bit becuase she has tons of meetings. There are 5 pop quizes that aren't too bad as long as you understand the notes from her lectures.

Dr. Drenovsky is a wonderful professor. Although this is my first class with her, she seems to be really dedicated to her job. She is very organized and she is not boring. She gives study guides for all her tests, which are not too difficult. I would like to take her for another course if I have the chance to do so. I highly recommend her to anyone.

She gives you a review sheet in advance for the exams, we take a five 5pt quizes over all and they just deal on the notes we previously took. Her tests are easy, just review your notes. And if u do bad on the tests its ok cuz she lets you challenge your answers to boost up your grade!!! TAKE HER!!

This prof. was pretty good. She lectured a lot, and was very organized in presentation of material. We watched a few movies that were pretty good. Try to get good grades on your quizzes, and come to class though, because those two factors could mean the difference between a B and a C. She has three tests and nothing else but class participation and quiz grades, so any one of those things could hurt your grade if you don't do well on straight testing.

Dr. Drenovsky is ok. Her class isn't too hard. You cover a lot of material and class lectures are fairly interesting. No outside of class projects, but tests are a little tricky. Make sure to read the book, it is included on tests and she doesn't cover it all in class. Overall, she is a nice lady and her class is decent.
