This woman is a life saver. Half of the class will fail the exams every time but walk out with an A or B because of all of her extra credit. It's incredible. You learn a lot and she is just so much fun to listen to - partly because she pronounces a lot of words incorrectly... but who doesnt? She's so nice and will answer any questions you have.

She reminds me of a high school teacher, very understanding and nice. All notes on blackboard and she just goes over what is important in class. Doesn't take attendance unless class is empty then she gives out extra credit. All quizzes are on-line making them easy. I don't like this stuff but she makes it interesting. Great teacher take her!

Dr. Elliot is one of the best professors on campus. Her class is extremely easy! All you need to do is go to class and you can get a good grade! I would highly suggest you attend class every session because you have A LOT of in class assignments. You have a midterm and a Final..and then a few online quizzes. Wonderful professor!

She is super nice and super easy. Class lectures were kind of boring, and you also had a weekly online quiz. But thats no big deal if you pair up with someone in the class to do it. Also she gives tons of extra credit, so if you put forth a little effort, you def get back a really good grade for doin almost nothing

This class was very interesting due to the fascinating subject matter (immunology). Some of the lectures were long, since I had this class for 75 min on Monday and Wednesday, and I had a hard time staying awake sometimes. Dr. Elliot is very capable, however, and puts energy into her teaching. Do well on the assignments, and study for the exams (midterm and final), and you'll be fine.

I would highly recommend Dr. Elliot. I took this class pass/fail because I am horrible in science but she made the information so easy to understand. She was very down to earth and understood that not everyone in the class liked biology. She had an online quiz every week, a few writting assignments, one large group presentation, and a final. She gives lots of extra credit. She never takes attendence but she will give extra credit oppurtunities to those who attend class. My only warning is that her final is pretty difficult so be sure to keep your grades up throughout the semester.

Dr. Elliot is a very good teacher! This class was extremely informative, and I feel a must take for psych. majors even though it is not a requirement. We had open book, open note testing in the form of online quizzes, but do not let that fool you. The quizzes were often difficult, as they were not direct questions, but you had to read between the lines to get the right answers. There a 5 papers to do that are only one to two pages in length, and there are several extra credit opportunities. The final was not that difficult, because she pulled questions from some of the past quizzes. You will learn a lot in this class, and Dr. Elliot is very nice, and I would recommend this teacher for human bio!

everything for this class is online! you can sit in front of your computer w/ your book on your lap and take all the quizzes, which make up a major part of your grade. the only reason for going to class is for extra credit opportunities. you have a few writing assignments, 2 pg max, info comes right from the book. 1 big project but it's in groups so you can split it up. overall, i enjoy this class, and am looking at a B average as long as i don't screw up the final.

I strongly reccomend taking her. There are no tests, only quizes which you take online. They are open book open note. Most of the material on the quizes come right from the book but the leture reenforces the material. You don't have to go to class but she gives in class extra credit. She is a real stickler about her time so don't expect to get out of class early.

Elliot is a good teacher and her classes aren't too difficult at all. Read the book, do the homework, and study and you'll get an A or a B. Be prepared to take some notes because she can move quickly through material.

Listen I use ship underground all the time before scheduling class. I needed a science gen ed and elliot was 9 pos and 3 neutral...clearly the science majors who took her class were the only students who rated her. If you dont have any background knowledge in science or bio you're screwed. She rants on about info thats not on the exam and has no study guide for the exams. You're basically just guessing whats going to be on the exam. She only gives you 20 min to do the exam and you have to come to class early if you want extra time...then she makes you sit through another fascinating lecture. I'm just being honest people..dont make the same mistake I did.

With Dr. Patrie and Elliott co-teaching this course it makes the lab time very disorganized and we were constantly getting conflicting procedures/information. Lab usually runs over, and by over, I mean an hour or more. So don't plan on getting done early ever... you finish on time occasionally. Points in the class are *easy* to get. There's about 30 ten-point assignments/quizzes that are easy to get full credit on if you pay attention with half your brain. The independent project and presentation are the big points. The final exam was 10 points, seriously. She loves 10-point things! Take it for an easy A, but plan on spending an hour longer in lab than is scheduled.

I like Dr. Elliot. She and Dr. Patrie teach this lab, but when the immunodiagnostic part was over, she was never around. She did show up at the end, however. Anyway, maybe she should have been around a little more during the semester for this lab.

Dr. Elliot is a nice teacher but she goes so fast in calss. Get your writing hand ready because she goes through material so fast it is almost impossible to keep up with her in you notes. Other than that, she is a good professor and her tests are fairly simple!!!
