Dr. Fiorini is a really nice professor and I was never afraid to ask a question. I am not a good math student so I was scared about the class but he teaches it really well and overall the class was not that bad. There are 10 quizzes which two of them he drops, 2 projects, and 3 exams plus a final.

Dr. Fiorini is an awesome professor. He may be really busy, but he always takes time out for students. He's super smart, very nice, and one of my favorite profs here at Shippensburg. Take him if you can!

Dr. Fiorini made me love math and start to appreciate it. I had him about a year ago, and I can say that he is a great human being and instructor. Of any prof either those in Ship or the ones i've had outside of it, there is no competition, Dr. Fiorini is the best in all respects. I can't believe that I had the fortune to have been taught by him. I forever will be greatful for the experience I had as a student in his class.

Subject: This is the way math should be taught...  (Jan 16 2004, 02:05PM)

Fiorini is a great prof. Numerical is probably one of the hardest courses in the math program, but he helped make it managable. He took the time to explain difficult concepts until we understood them, he made the exams takehomes instead of in-class, and he made your homework and participation a large part of your grade... meaning that if you show up and do your work, he will give you a fair grade.

If you have the opportunity , I strongly recommend taking him. He is always willing to help and is almost always availiable. His class runs smoothly and you learn alot. I think that there were four tests and several take home projects to do for a grade. You always know whats on his tests becuase he goes over what you need to know. Just make sure you complete the assignments and attend class, because he does take attendance. He is a great Prof!!!

This was the first Math class i took here at Ship. I loved it. He has a great sense of humor. Just make sure to ask questions and do the homework and you'll do well. I highly recommend him. He is always there to help you or answer questions for you. Keep up with your notes and study for the tests too. I suck at Math and I got a B+ in this class!!!!!

Fiorini is the man. Class keeps you involved and do problems that actually make sense. Goes at the classes pace and will curve exams if the class messes up. He is one of the best Profs. I have ever had.

Dr. Fiorini was the best mathematics professor I've come across so far in my life. He is definately one of the best overall professors I've ever had. Dr. Fiorini not only explains the material extremely well, but the way that he runs his class is very entertaining (for a math class) and his sense of humor makes the class run very smoothely. He is also very understanding and works extremely well with his students when it comes to giving advice and extending time for projects. Dr. Fiorini puts every effort that he can into helping his students obtain a better grade as long as you show that you're putting in the effort. There's not enough good things that I can say about this professor!

This teacher is really cool about projects. If you need more time, just ask and the whole class will get a few more days. The tests can be hard if you don't study on your own.. ie. don't expect to be hand-fed the material. Overall, he's pretty funny and easy going.

Dr. Forioni is a great professor. Even though I didn't get the grade that I wanted I still enjoyed the class. The classes that he teaches are very easy. You rarely get homework, and when you do.. the asigments are very easy because you discuss the infomrmation in class. All you need to do is do your assingments and pass all of the tests. The tests are also very simple. They include 5-6 problems. The problems that are included are the exact same problems that are covered in the classroom.. He is great. Go to class and you will do fine ... Just try a little bit to succeed and you WILL!!! I promise... Everyone in the class is getting a C or better

Fiorini was a really good guy. If you had calculus in high school, then this class will be easy for you...however if you didn't have calc in high school i would reccomend taking another course before this one because i found that people fell behind. He is moody sometimes and loves to drink coffee and if you ask him to bring you a cup he will (just not everyone). He is fair with grading, gives you 7 questions on each test and you have to choose 5 of them to do and each is worth 20 points. A good teacher that i would recommend.

Fiorini had a dry sense of humor and was a great teacher. I loved to talk to this guy outside of class, he was hilarious. His tests were difficult sometimes, but they only had 6 questions on them and you could pick any 5 to do.

Subject: depends on the day  (Aug 08 2002, 10:32AM)

Prof. Fiorini is a pretty good guy. He tries to make class interesting, but it depends on the day. Somedays he will be real nice and easy, others he is in a bad mood and it is horrible. His tests aren't too hard and he does an good job teaching calc, just sometimes hard to apply. Don't expect him to always be there for help, one day I stopped by and he looked at my paper for 5 minutes and then kicked me out to water his plants. Overall though, he is one of the better calc teachers.
